And, just like that, in the blink of an eye, another year of St Francis is in the books! 4 years young with so many more to go, we are once again counting our blessings today. To the 1,500+ families that trust us to care for your loved ones, we thank you sincerely from the deepest parts of our heart. We wouldn’t be here if not for your love and trust & we are so incredibly thankful to continually earn both every day we show up to work. Thank you to our team for being absolute rockstars every day and for being the mortar that holds our little place together. Cheers to 4 years, we can’t wait to see what the next four will bring; maybe even a new place to call home!!!???…….

If you’ve been by the hospital over the past few months, you may have bumped into this little guy; if not, we are happy to formally introduce you to Monroe, the newest member of the St Francis management family. He’s a 10yr old Pomeranian - chihuahua mix who was rescued from a hoarding situation in Kentucky and was rescued by the loveliest people just outside New Palz. He’s already established a firm grip on his role here and decided he is fully in charge. If you see him on your next visit in, be aware that if you’re dressed as a UPS driver he may try to bite you! 👀

As a young man I dreamed of owning a veterinary hospital. Not one time did I stop and think about the people that would join me on that journey. I was young then; now, it’s all I think about. I am so blessed to be surrounded by the most caring, talented, thoughtful team of animal lovers on the planet. They treat every pet as if it were their own and each pet parent as part of their own family. St. Francis is built and maintained on their hard work, caring and incredible love for their patients and the work they perform. I am in awe of their efforts and attitudes on a daily basis, they simply make coming to work more fun and less stressful. Thank you team, thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, remembering all the things I forget when we come out of the exam rooms, and for simply being fantastic humans. At the end of this veterinary technician week, we take a moment to heap praise on those who receive it far too infrequently. To our techs Lex and Nicky, our practice manager April, our CSR’s Grammie and Nikki and our assistant Hugh, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your hard work, it never goes unnoticed. - Dr. Lewis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our best friend, Truman Hendricks Lewis. He was everyone’s best friend, rescued at the age of 13 after his human parents passed away, he immediately adapted to our crazy lives. From walking in his stroller to attending every family event and commuting with us daily, he never flinched and never complained. He checked on our in patients and greeted everyone with love and openness. We will always love and appreciate him, he was like no other soul on earth and we were blessed to know him.

Have you heard the big news???? We are adding an associate Dr. to our team! We are so incredibly excited and proud to be gaining such an invaluable teammate!!! Dr. Wolfe comes to us with significant emergency and specialty experience but is truly a general practitioner at heart and can’t wait to begin forming bonds with our patients and their parents. Dr Wolfe will be with us Mondays, Tuesdays and two Saturdays every month. Expect appointment wait times to decrease dramatically on the days we have two DVMs on duty! 🤗. Two years to the day since we opened the doors to our little medical center and we couldn’t be more thankful for the hundreds of families and thousands of pets who have walked our halls and trusted us with their care. We are so grateful to be a part of the East Hanover and Morris County business community and lucky to have been embraced so lovingly by our community. Please open up your heart to this 18 week old Maine c**n kitten. He has hydrocephalus (water on his brain). He will need eye surgery since his eye lids curl into his eyes. Not sure as of now if he will need other surgeries. He is an energetic fun kitten but the family can’t afford to care for him. Please call us if you are interested in adopting this sweet kitten.
