Change A Life Dog Rescue threw a party, and a time was had! We want to thank everyone who came out to have a good time and raise money for the Rescue pups at Trivia Night! Your costumes were great, and your energy was everything! Special shout out to our volunteers:
Jill, Chris, Renee, Dianna, Ally, Liz and special donor Sally Macartin. You did an amazing job (as always)!

ALL FOR THE PUPS… that is one of our themes, and occasionally we get to come together to throw a party, AND save the lives of dogs! We thank you all for your support- it is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Update: Good news, Jalen’s wounds are on the mend- but she does not have very many teeth. Jalen is still skinny and we are feeding her wet food. ANY DONATED AMOUNT HELPS!!!!

Hello Dog loving, Rescue supporting followers of Change A Life Dog Rescue! We are coming to you with a plea for help. We always have a dog in need, but today I want to tell you about a specific dog that truly needs our help. The dog’s name is Jalen and she is in TX.

One of our Rescue partners told us about a dog who was a skinny stray, wandering the Rio Grand Valley. We said we would help, but the dog disappeared and had not been seen for weeks. When she was seen again, it was discovered that she had puppies! One dog turned into 5 dogs, but we said we would help- and that is what we will do. Flash forward to yesterday, Jalen got out and was injured in a Coyote trap, and someone took one of her puppies. We need to get the family to the Vet and get them supplies now that they have found a safe place in TX until they can come to the Northeast. Jalen looks to be a mixed breed with some Pit, maybe 3 yrs old. Jalen is mom to 1 girl and 2 boys. They are sweet, friendly adorable dogs who deserve a chance. We have not asked for donations in a while, PLEASE help us help Jalen, Jack, Jacob and Jolie. Every bit helps. The pups thank you, we thank you.

We are often asked if we help CT dogs or if we just take in Southern dogs…the answer is, we help dogs from the South as well as CT dogs. We ask for help from our community of supporters to get these dogs the Vet care they need. Who are these dogs?

Max, Angel, Theo, Yodel, Rocsi, Kobe, Nova and a few more earlier this year, but this is a quick rundown of their stories:

Max is an 11 year old Yorkie Poo surrendered to a local Vet after being diagnosed with Diabetes. Angel and Theo whose Mom is dealing with a serious illness that keeps her from being able to care for them. Yodel, adopted out by us a year ago but found as a stray in a shelter in the South. Rocsi the 3 year old nugget of a Pit mix whose family could no longer care for her. Kobe and Nova, are two more dogs who had people but needed new homes. Whether they were in our Rescue and came back, or a local family needs our help, we step up. We could use your help with a donation- it goes to spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips and check up. Every bit helps! Help us help the pups- SAVE A LIFE! CHANGE A LIFE!

Check out newly Adopted Kanan at The Paw Splash in Cromwell, CT. If you are in the area and have Adopted a dog from CALDR, stop by and bring the discount flyer. If you live nearby and have a dog that needs to be groomed, stop by and meet the staff. They love dogs and will take care of your up! Kanan gives a paws up on the experience!

Good morning Rescue fans!

We are coming to you with an emergency- we need a temporary Foster for a dog, whom we need a place for RIGHT NOW!!!

Red was Adopted as a puppy 5 yrs ago, but the couple is divorcing and Dad is trying to secure housing that will allow Red to stay with him- he needs a Foster for a few weeks (maybe 4 or 5). There is a threat to surrender Red to a shelter if he isn’t out in a week. Red is dog and people friendly, NO cats, housebroken, good on a leash, 50 lbs, 5 yrs old. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help if you can, ask friends if they can help. Most importantly, if you live in CT and can Foster Red, let us know IMMEDIATELY! We don’t want a dog to go to a shelter. Hello all,

Change A Life Dog Rescue comes to you for help…two dogs need you and we hope you can assist: Freya and Max.

First up- Max

Do you take Wegovy? If so, you and Max have something in common. Max is a 12 yr old, 14lb Cockapoo who was recently diagnosed as Diabetic. He was surrendered to his Vet because his person was not able to care for him. We need a Foster or Adopter for Max- he just needs one injection a day to help get him regulated. IYKYK. But this is a process and we are looking for someone who want to live on the sweet little guy and help him at this time in his life. Max seems fina around other dogs and cats- and he is in CT, so we can easily do a walk through to see if he is a good fit in your home, and help you establish his care.

Last but not least- Freya

We have an 8 month old, Female, 43lb Malinois/Shepherd mix who needs a Foster or new Adopter. Freya is housebroken, good on a leash, can be crated, dog friendly, playful and sweet. This pup is in a home with very young kids and it is overwhelming for her. Freya would do best with older children or adults. This pup is smart, and she would love to train or have a job- that is the Hallmark of the Malinois, smart/trainable working dogs!

WE HAVE A FOSTER!!!

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A FOSTER- we cannot help dogs without Fosters!

We need your help!

We have a 3 yr old, 77lb dog and people friendly, housebroken, moderately active Anatolian Shepherd whom we would like to transport to CT, but NO ONE has agreed to Foster. We cannot help dogs without Fosters. Cass was surrendered to a shelter because his person was sick. The shelter found a temp Foster for him and we want to bring him to CT to help find his Forever home, but we need an approved Foster to do this. Can YOU help a dog on his path to his Forever home?
