Sunday morning: pretty much the only day of the week you’ll see this much open & begging to be cut. Cause I skipped a harvest the day before. All these pretties are now chilling in cold storage.

I think folks new to the farm are always surprised every bed doesn’t look like this photo.

My boy! And his buddies have been clearing brush along fence lines & cleaning up debris from last week’s storms. It’s hot & sweaty work but they have been tenacious. I gotta say, I feel like a parenting wizard this summer in terms of reducing screen time while also getting stuff done. People try to scare you when your kids are little about the teenage years and I want to tell you “Don’t believe them. Teenagers are awesome.” Give them a job, treat them respectfully, and they’ll surprise you with just how competent they can be.
