🐾 Retirement-ready and still waiting... 🐾

Gary came to rescue in February and somehow is still waiting for his forever home—we honestly don’t know why! ❤️ You’d never guess this sweet Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix is 14 years old.

His dream retirement includes cozy naps, short walks, plenty of snacks, and a favorite human to keep company. Gary is looking for a calm home where he can enjoy his golden years and be loved the way he deserves.

Meet ✨Pinky✨a very rare 3 year old French Bulldog/Piglet mix. Pinky has been in foster care for about two weeks and is really starting to show her goofy, rascally personality. So far, she:

🐾 Loves all people she’s encountered, going right up for pets.
🐾 Walks well on a leash and does well when walking with other dogs.
🐾 Has only barked once but rest assured you could be treated to a symphony of other noises: snorkles, grunts, snores, squeaks, and lots of excited breathing 🐽
🐾 Enjoys the company of other dogs, though she does seem slightly affronted by the idea of any other dog receiving attention.
🐾 Loves napping and is a great work from home buddy.
🐾 Loves car rides, snacks, treats, all food, getting sprayed with the water hose, splooting her legs out to cool her belly, fighting her arch nemesis (the vacuum) and cuddles.
🐾 Enjoys the occasional zoomies around the house, a good game of chase, and some light wrestling (where you must let her win because she is just a *baby*)

Meet Captain Lee, a one-year-old terrier/chihuahua mix with a true captain’s resilience and a heart full of love ⚓️

Like his namesake from Below Deck, he’s weathered a serious storm—after being hit by a car and suffering a broken femur and pelvis, he was brought into rescue for immediate surgical care. Thanks to that quick intervention and his own determined spirit, Captain Lee is now steadily on the road to recovery.

Through it all, he’s remained incredibly social and snuggly. His foster describes him as a total lovebug who enjoys being close to his people and soaking up affection. He’s also shown friendly, calm interest in other dogs. While he’s not cleared for full playtime just yet, he’s been able to share space with other pups and coexist peacefully.

Right now, Captain Lee’s main job is healing. He’s building strength with short, controlled leash walks and lots of rest. He’s not fully bearing weight on his left leg yet, but don’t tell him that—this little guy is already eager to get moving, especially if there are chickens in sight!

Captain Lee will need an adopter who’s committed to continuing his recovery and giving him the time and support he needs to fully heal. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion with a remarkable story and an even bigger heart.

Meet Bea 🐝❤️ Bea is a tiny puppy with a big personality and an even bigger sense of adventure. She’s curious about everything, loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and has never met a toy she didn’t love. In her world, no toy is too big. If she can pick it up, it’s the toy for her.

She’ll entertain you with her funny little mannerisms, like sitting up like a person or making dinosaur noises. Bea will recruit you for playtime but is also happy to play on her own if you have other tasks to take care of. She loves exploring her surrounding and is making progress with potty training.

Meet Thatch 🐾❤️ A Loyal Little Shadow with a Big Heart! He is a 3-year-old, 24-lb Dachshund/Labrador mix with a sleek dark brown coat and an adorable white patch on his chest — and just enough personality to steal your heart.

Thatch is a sensitive, thoughtful guy who likes to take a moment to size up new situations. On leash, he can be reactive toward people, but with patient handling and continued training, he’s making great progress. Give him a minute to warm up and you’ll quickly see his true self: a devoted, affectionate best friend who just wants to be near his people. We are currently in the process of working with a trainer to help build his confidence with meeting new people!

Thatch absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another friendly or playful pup to show him the ropes. He enjoys playing with toys — both with humans and his dog friends — and when he gets excited, he does the cutest little prance with both front legs that will make you smile every time.

He’s fully potty trained and leash trained, sleeps well in his crate at night and when left alone, and is a dream work-from-home companion, happily lounging nearby while you tackle your day.

They say good things come in small packages, and this 10-week-old baby girl Suzy Q is proof 💕 With a heart twice the size of her body and a personality as sweet as her looks, she has been stealing the hearts of everyone she meets.

What makes her so special is her wonderful balance of independence and friendliness. She loves to explore and can easily keep herself occupied with her own puppy games for a long period of time. However, the second another dog enters the room, her eyes light up! Whether it’s a tiny puppy or a gentle giant, she is always eager to make a new canine friend.

When the sun goes down, her favorite routine begins. Right around 8:00 PM, she decides her day of play is done, walks herself right into her crate, and goes to sleep for the night without a peep until morning.

Suzy Q, is a happy, healthy, and incredibly loving pup who is going to make one lucky family very whole!

Hi, I’m 🐾St Ives of Sploot🐾 (if you know, you know!… and if you don’t, my foster mom will be glad to explain my name when you come to meet me!). My friends (so basically everyone I meet) call me Ivy. At 12 years young, I am living proof that age is just a number. Even though I came into the shelter as a stray in a bit of rough shape, I am improving every day and having a real glow-up moment with the help of my foster family.

Foster mom says I’m literally as sweet and gentle as they come. She also says I’ve mastered the art of being the perfect dog, so people shouldn’t overlook me because of my age. I bring all the best parts of a seasoned pup: a loving heart, great manners, an easy calming presence that makes me such a joy to have around, and not to mention I’m house trained and don’t chew on things I shouldn’t!

I do have some arthritis in my back legs, but don’t worry, I don’t let it stop me from loving life. My arthritis is super easy to manage with the daily med I love taking – because it means I get some peanut butter! I’m in great health otherwise and still love going on walks – granted I prefer short walks due to my arthritis, and love stopping to smell all the smells around me! I walk great on my leash – and will even carry it to the door for you – that’s what a good girl I am. Then, after a good sniff session, I’m happiest curled up on my bed near my people or cuddling on the couch where I can get my nap on.

I’m great around kids and people of any age. I get along with dogs (with slow intros of course), love car rides, and sleep through the night! My only ask is a house without many steps (or an adopter willing to make some easy modifications for me) so I can keep living my best life.

I still have so much love to give and joy to share! I hope you’ll see the number of times I’ve been around the sun as the advantage it is, and realize how worthy of a second chance I am – you won’t regret it.

✨Maverick | 7 months | ~50 lbs✨

Meet Maverick — your future best friend with a heart-shaped nose to prove he was made for love. This goofy, spirited, golden-hearted pup hasn’t met a ball he didn’t enjoy, a person he didn’t adore, or a chance to make someone smile.

Maverick is crate trained and picking up commands quickly — he’s already got sit and shake down, and is actively working on down. He’s observant and curious, often pausing on walks to thoughtfully take in the world around him before deciding it’s time to play again.

He enjoys a good game of fetch or tug, and loves nothing more than snuggling up to the people he loves. He does well with other dogs — and if you have a canine companion at home, an energetic or patient one would be his perfect match.

Maverick would thrive with:

• 👐 A family ready to continue his training and give him the structure he responds so well to
