️✨❄️Winter Miracle Fundraiser ❄️✨

Every rescue story begins in the dark, but some are meant to shine a light for so many others. This holiday season, one very special girl, Wendy, is taking center stage to lead our biggest mission of the year. She came to us with almost nothing left except hope.

Look closely at those eyes. Behind them is a resilient spirit that refused to give up, even when her body was completely broken and malnourished.

Today, we are officially launching our Winter Miracle Fundraiser in Wendy’s honor and for every dog like her waiting for a second chance.

Wendy was rescued just in time, but she’s far from the only one. Right now, so many dogs are out there with nowhere to go, needing urgent medical care, nutritious food, and a safe place to land. By supporting our fundraiser, you aren't just helping Wendy on her road to recovery, you’re making sure we can answer the call whenever another dog like her needs help.

🗓️ From today through January 5th, every gift will go directly toward our Winter Miracle Fundraiser to save dogs in need. No donation is too small. Every single dollar adds up to save a life.

Coming soon! Pope!

Pope was rescued as a stray, but you would never know by his temperament. He greeted another male dog, a female dog, and a cat with very polite manners and allows his tail, ears, teeth, and legs to be handled.

He is still learning how to be a dog that lives in a house. Things like house training, leash training, and obedience are things he never had to think about as a stray. With his strong foundation of his temperament, Pope will be able to flourish with a family that can give him consistency, patience, and understanding that he is learning almost everything for the first time.

Great news for your feed today! Dorothy is officially PENDING ADOPTION! 🐾🎉

She brought total Dorothy Zbornak (Golden Girls) energy to GSRA from day one, giving us all the sass, side-eye, and sweetness we could ask for. We're going to miss her big personality, but she’s finally ready for her own couch and a family to spoil her with all the dog-friendly treats she deserves. 🐶✨

Geordi is a sensitive soul who is very eager to please. He walks nicely on leash, settles well in his crate, and still has playful spurts. He does best with calm, respectful companions and makes fast friends with other mellow dogs. He would be happiest in a calm, quiet home with no children or older kids only. He loves being outside so an active empty nester or another quiet adult household would be perfect for this gentle soul.

Luna is calm, quiet, and smart, a sweet girl who respects your space and makes everyday life easy.

Luna is absolute perfection. She is stable, calm, quiet, and smart, the kind of dog who seems to understand what you are asking almost before you ask it. She is ~five years old, takes correction and guidance with grace, and she settles into a routine with ease.

Luna is a very sweet girl, but she is never pushy about affection. She respects personal space, which is practically unheard of in a sheppie! She will happily accept love when it is offered and is content to simply be near her people the rest of the time.

On the small to average side for a female shepherd, Luna has a calm, medium energy level that makes her a great fit for a wide range of homes. She could do well in an apartment or a home without a fence. A daily walk or two and some good playtime will keep her happy and fulfilled.
