🎃🐾 Keep Your Pets Safe This Halloween! 👻

Halloween is full of spooky fun, but it can also bring some unexpected dangers for our furry friends! Here are a few tips to keep your pets safe:

🍫 Keep candy out of reach! Chocolate and sugar-free candies containing xylitol can be extremely toxic to pets.

🚪 Prevent door dashing! With trick-or-treaters coming and going, keep pets secured in a quiet room or safely away from open doors.

👻 Choose costumes carefully! Make sure costumes fit comfortably and don’t restrict movement, breathing, or vision. Never force a pet to wear a costume.

🎃 Watch out for decorations! Keep candles, electrical cords, glow sticks, and small decorations away from curious paws.

🐶 Keep pets calm and comfortable! Doorbells, costumes, and unfamiliar visitors can be stressful. Provide a quiet, safe space where pets can relax.

🏷️ Check ID tags and microchips! Make sure your pet’s identification information is up to date in case they accidentally escape.

🧡 Skip the human treats! Celebrate with pet-safe treats instead of Halloween candy.

Happy Howl-o-ween from all of us at Dothan Animal Hospital! 🐾🎃

Stay spooky, stay safe, and enjoy the treats!

🎃 Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, which means more parties, more trick-or-treaters, and plenty of doorbell rings!

Keep your pet’s night more treat than trick with a few quick reminders:

🍫 Keep candy out of reach. Chocolate and xylitol are toxic to pets, so place the candy bowl where curious paws and noses can’t reach it.

👻Costume with comfort in mind. Make sure your pet can move, see, and breathe easily.

🚪 Create a calm space. Give your pet a quiet spot away from the door, doorbells, and trick-or-treaters.

Have a safe and happy Halloween! 👻🐾
