❤️🐾 Love is in the Air But Keep It Safe for Your Pets! 🐾❤️

Valentine’s Day is full of sweet treats, beautiful flowers, and special surprises — but some of these can be dangerous for our furry family members.

🚫 Watch out for these common Valentine’s Day hazards:
🍫 Chocolate – Even small amounts can be toxic to dogs and cats. Dark and baking chocolate are especially dangerous.
🌸 Lilies – Extremely toxic to cats. Even small exposures (like pollen or water from the vase) can cause kidney failure.
🌹 Roses & Bouquets – Thorns and certain mixed flowers can cause injuries or stomach upset.
🍬 Xylitol – This artificial sweetener found in sugar-free candies and gum can cause a rapid drop in blood sugar and liver failure in dogs.
🎀 Wrappings & Ribbons – Curious pets may swallow them, leading to dangerous intestinal blockages.

💡 Pet Safety Tips:
• Keep treats and flowers out of reach.
• Store gift bags and candy boxes securely.
• Inform guests not to share “people treats.”
• Monitor your pets closely during celebrations.

If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, don’t wait for symptoms — contact your veterinarian or emergency hospital immediately.
