‘Tis the season when we ask our dogs to cope with things that don’t make sense to them. Please remember costumes on humans, wearing costumes, holiday decorations and unfamiliar people can be stressful for your dog. All dogs will bite if pushed over their limit of tolerance. Our trainers can teach you to watch your dog’s body language and to respect their comfort levels.

Keep those pets safe this weekend!

Pets & Halloween Candy!🎃These treats are especially dangerous to pets, so please keep them out of reach!

Chocolate - contains theobromine, which can be harmful/fatal. Baking chocolate has higher potency

Candies & Gum - the biggest concern is that they contain the artificial sweetener xylitol. Most often, it is found in sugar-free gum and candy

Hard Candies - large quantities can clump up in the stomach and cause obstruction

Raisins and Grapes– can cause renal failure

Candy Wrappers – can become lodged in throat or intestinal tract

If a pet consumes these, please contact a vet or pet poison line immediately. Quick treatment can make a difference.
