🐔 Canine Craze Caught Chicken Craze! 🐔

We’re flipping the script on training with our next event — the “Clicking Cluckers” Workshop!

Join us on October 25th at 3pm for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience presented by Pet Professors — where you’ll be clicker training chickens! 🐥

Why chickens, you ask?
Because chickens can’t be lured or physically guided through training tasks — meaning you’ll sharpen your timing, observation, and shaping skills like never before. This workshop is designed to help you become a more precise, thoughtful, and effective trainer and handler while having a whole lot of fun in the process!

What to Expect:
- Learn about chicken behavior and perception
- Practice shaping and timing with real chickens
- Build skills that will transfer directly to your dog training
- Choose from working (hands-on) or auditing (observe and learn) spots

This is a dog-free clinic—we’ll provide the chickens!
End time may vary depending on how quickly we move through the content.

It's time to vote by commenting for your favorite chicken name theme and offer your suggestions. Full details on the flock below. Vote for your favorite category, then offer your suggestions! Categories include: 1) The Hennifers (Lopez, Love-Hewitt, Anniston, Garner, Lawrence, etc.) 2) Other animal names (i.e. Cow, Pig, Seal, etc.) 3) Other whole-cut food names (Beef, Pork, Tofu, etc.) 4) Food names, non-animal related (Strawberry, Chutney etc.) 5) Puns involving Egg or other chicken related pun 6) Category of your choosing.

Chicken details: there are 14 chicks total, 7 breeds, all female hens.
Ages: 4: 16 days old, 4: 4 days old and 4: 3 days old
Breeds: Amberlink, California Tans, Easter Eggers, Jersey Giant, Black Astralorp, Rhode Island Red, and Red Star.
Currently, they are housed inside and separated between the 4 older girls and the 10 younger girls. They will integrate fully in several more weeks when they can go outside.

How do we keep chickens safe around our dogs? Lots of prior training and relationship building helps a lot. Also, management, like gates, doors, and crates when not in training. "BOOOOOoooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnnngggg..." says Gary 🤣
