What did we do on our last day of school? Went to play in Eel River of course, and may or may not of (suprisingly) caught a baby northern water snake. 🫣😳
Jackson has been wanting a snake since his 7th birthday and the answer was always no... until yesterday. We set up a terrarium with water basins almost taking up the whole tank, and will feed it little fishies from the river and worms caught from the garden.

Fun fact for the morning. In the Koon household we currently have a domesticated cricket. Yes that's correct, a real life Jiminy, Mulan pet, Cricket. It appeared in our hermit crab container over the winter the size of my pinky nail and it's been in there ever since. It chooses to stay when it could jump out. Jiminy's home is one of our extra empty crab shells.
