Halloween Tips For The Dogs! 🐶 🎃 👻

COSTUMES

Hana is going as a dinosaur this year. Her costume is pretty much just a coat with some dinosaur flair. 🦖

Some dogs are okay with wearing a costume. Some are not. Make sure that the costume is adjusted properly and comfortable and doesn’t impede movement or sight.

And if your dog doesn’t want to wear a full costume, I got you! Opt for a cute Halloween tee, bow tie, bandana, collar or harness.

We can still be festive without going full out.

Halloween Tips For The Dogs! 🐶 🧡 🕸️

Work on DOORBELL stuff now.

Play doorbell sounds paired with high value treats (we like pepperoni or peanut butter) before the big night to make it less of a jump scare.

Alternatively, check if you can lower the volume of your door bell or just disconnect it for the night.

Block the door dash! 🚪

Use a baby gate, secure fencing, or a leash when answering the door to prevent unexpected and unsupervised adventures. Dogs can be surprisingly fast and sneaky with getting out the front door.
