TPH specializes in c**t starting & barrel horses. Check out my ‘events’ tab for clinic dates.

I (Haley) focus on correct posture, shaping, softening, & body control to give each c**t or barrel horse the confidence & tools to be successful.

‼️ I need your input!

Do we like open arena by appointments - text 309-251-7778 for $10/hour per person.

OR

Would y’all like some weekend dates the arenas open for 3/4 hours for $20 a person, bring as many horses as you want, kids 13yo or under are free WITH their parent.

Thinking through the winter when weather is icky but keep horses legged up!

Came back for Day 2 of the Pink Turn N Burn a little quicker. Staying clean, working on small tweaks, & keeping our runs correct.

Finished 6th in Open 2D & 3rd in Adult 1D to add more to his LTE.

A lot of people ask me why I don’t typically haul 2yos to races. Although I usually have too maybe horses on the trailer already; I simply reply, “I don’t need to.”

I’m not your typical futurity horse trainer. My 2yos get super broke, ride in the fields, trail ride, demo horses for my lessons/clinics, never go to barrel races normally, and never see a barrel pattern.

So, why do they always kick ass?

They are super broke & confident. That’s all. I don’t have secrets; I just put the work in at home while being a great leader.

Brooks demonstrated just that yesterday & today. Before yesterday he’d never been to a barrel race, only hauled maybe dozen times or so to my parents or parks beforehand. He has all the tools, buttons, & confidence. Doing it in a different location is the easy part.

No lunging, no hand walking to see the sights, not being scared, just another day to ride.

Therefore, running the legs off a 2yo & teetering on the verge of blowing one up before giving them a chance just isn’t for me. I want him to love his job, seek a barrel, & have as much fun as me.

Why I always say, “There’s a million ways to the highway.”

Proud of this 2yo today!
