‼️ A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this weekend’s dog trial such a great event!

First and foremost, we want to thank our landowners for allowing us to use their beautiful grounds. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your generosity and support of the sport.

A big thank you as well to our gunners, bird planters, and judges for all the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep the day running smoothly. Your time, effort, and dedication are truly appreciated.

It was great to see so many friendly faces throughout the weekend. We loved catching up with longtime friends and meeting several new faces joining the game. That kind of community is what makes these events so special.

We were especially excited to see 13 dogs run in the TAN and 7 in the WRT. Seeing that many young dogs getting their start is a great sign, and it’s clear that the future of the sport is bright with some very promising dogs coming up.

Thanks again to everyone who participated, helped out, and supported the trial. We appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you all again at the next one!

🚨 Dinner Location Update – Friday Night (March 13, 2026) 🚨

Due to an unforeseen issue, we’ve had to change our Friday night dinner location.

We will now be meeting at

A banquet room has been reserved for the club.

🚨 As of two days ago we are completely full with entries on our trial.

Thanks to all who showed interest and we are excited to see you in less than a month!

Please remember to txt the field trial secretary (Jay/ 920-889-4992) to let him know if you will be attending dinner Friday and Saturday night, please. Please give him a minimum notice, 3 days prior. Saturday Awards will be presented at dinner.

Other than that lunch is provided Saturday as a reminder and the club is excited to see you!

With the first training day in the books 📚 the club had a successful outing and looks forward to future events we have planned.

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Clint LaFary for allowing us access to his grounds for our training day. We are grateful for hospitality and use of equipment.

- February 8th training day starting at 8am
- March 1st & 2nd we have a handlers clinic
- April 5th & 6th we have our UKC TRIAL OF CHAMPIONS FIELD TRIAL

The Trial of Champions April 5-6, 2025 is filling up rapidly. We are hosting two days of Open Wild Baces, Open Liberated Solo on Saturday and Open Liberated Braces on Sunday. Gun Liberated Solo events are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. TANs and WRTs will be run on both days.

We have competitors traveling from throughout the US to participate. If you are unsure about trials, please attend an EB Club of IL training day or the handler’s clinic this winter. If you are still uncertain, you are personally invited to attend the trial and watch. Following the trial, join us for dinner Saturday night and an opportunity to have all your questions addressed.

We are also very excited to finally be able to announce that Birte Smidt will be traveling over from Germany to judge! She brings an amazing resume with her and she is extremely fluent in English. She adds to an already impressive judges’ line up of Joey Clark, Bud Shipp, Mark Dinsmore, John Zeigler and others as needed.
