Defiance Bark & Run

Defiance Bark & Run The Defiance Bark & Run Dog Park is a 501c3, not for profit park that is not affiliated with the city. The park officially opened May 10, 2010.

The park is a safe, fenced-in area where dogs can play off-leash while also providing a place for dogs and owners to socialize. The dog park is comprised of two 1 acre fenced in areas where small dogs and large dogs may be separated for safer play. This is plenty of room for dogs and owners to play ball and enjoy each other's company. In order to play in The Defiance Bark & Run Park, a membership

with an annual fee is required. Membership costs $45 for the first dog and $10 for each additional dog. Membership is valid from June - June. The cost for a week past is $15 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog. Board Members:

Thank you to everyone that stopped and saw us at our booth at the Lilac Festival on Saturday. We saw so many cute dogs too! It was a busy weekend but we should be pulling the ticket winners tonight for the raffle baskets! Stay tuned.

Tomorrow is the Lilac Festival, and it looks like a nice day! This year, we will be selling homemade dog treats made by Jump'n Puppy along with dog-related tote bags! We also have some great raffles again this year with awesome prizes. Thank you to Family Farm and Home, Wish Me Knot Skin Therapy, The Purple Dog Defiance, Biggby Coffee Defiance East & Defiance Area Animal Hospital for all your wonderful donations to add to our raffle baskets. You don't want to miss your chance to win some awesome goodies!

Come see us, and if you have a dog, bring it by so we can pet it. We will have dog treats and water for the dogs. We will be across from the United Way.

Just a reminder that today is the last day to get the Defiance County Dog License without paying the late charge!

The dog park will be closed for the next few days during this cold weather. The cement pad around the gate has also risen up to where the gate is touching the pad. If this cold weather makes it come up any further, this will make the entrance impossible to use until it goes back down when it thaws. Everyone please stay safe and warm.
