Congratulations Mira!

This past weekend, at almost 15 years old, Mira earned the title of Elite Champion (ELT-CH) in NACSW Nosework after successfully accumulating 1,000 points. For those unfamiliar, NACSW Nosework is a scent-detection sport. Dogs are trained to search for specific target odors in a variety of environments, using their natural sense of smell and focus. To reach Elite Championship status, a dog must not only compete successfully at the highest level but also consistently earn placements and qualifying scores across a wide range of searches and environments. This achievement is a reflection of the time and effort both Mira and hew owner have dedicated over the years.

🌞🐶 With the hot months approaching, here are some tips for keeping your 4 legged friends safe! Keep your pup safe by providing plenty of fresh water, avoiding hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws), and limiting outdoor time during peak heat. Never leave pets in a parked car—even for a minute! Stay cool and enjoy the sunshine safely! 🐾
