Growth happens when we're challenged, not when we stay comfortable.

Did you think we only train Labradors? 👀

We love our Labs, but they aren’t the only dogs at CCR! 🐾

From Goldens, Chessies and Tollers to Setters, GSPs, Wirehaired Griffons and Boykins and so on, we welcome a variety of sporting breeds to our training programs.

Different breeds, different personalities, and one shared love for working in the field!

What breed do you have? Drop a picture in the comments—we’d love to see them! 👇🏼

GUN DOG SAFETY: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

Whether you’re new to hunting with a retriever or have years of experience, safety always comes first!

Here are a few key reminders:

🐾 Know where your dog is before taking any shot.

🔫 Keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all times.

🦆 Steadiness matters! A dog that breaks early can put itself in danger.

👀 Know your shooting lanes and communicate with hunting partners.

🐕 Unload your fi***rm before handling or assisting your dog.

🌡️ Know your dog’s limits. Watch for exhaustion, cold, and overheating.

🚨 When in doubt, DON’T SHOOT! No bird is worth risking your dog’s life or anyone else’s.

A successful hunt isn’t just about the birds you bring home. It’s about everyone, including your dog, making it home safely!

👇 Experienced hunters, what’s one safety tip you’d give someone new to hunting with a gun dog?

10/23/2026

A little obedience, a little lovin’, and a whole lot of personality! ❤️

Who else has a dog that works for butt scratches?
