Choosing a gun dog trainer for your dog is an important decision—you’re trusting someone with not only your dog’s skills but also their well-being.

Here are the Top 5 Questions you should ask when looking for a new trainer:

1️⃣ What training methods do you use?
Every trainer has a style. Ask if they use positive reinforcement, pressure/release, collar conditioning, or a blend of methods. Make sure their approach matches your expectations and your dog’s temperament.

2️⃣ Can I visit your facility and watch you work dogs?
A transparent trainer should welcome you to observe their setup. Look for clean kennels, happy and healthy dogs, and professional handling.

🐾 First Hunt Test of the 2025–2026 Season 🐾

The wait is over—it’s finally time to kick off another season of hunt tests! Our first test of the year is here, and we couldn’t be more excited to see all the dogs and handlers back in action.

Whether you’re running a seasoned veteran or a young pup ready to prove themselves, this first test sets the tone for the season. It’s a chance to shake off the rust, reconnect with friends, and celebrate the hard work everyone has put in during the off-season.

We’re looking forward to great dog work, supportive sportsmanship, and plenty of memories made along the way. Here’s to a safe, fun, and successful start to the 2025–2026 hunt test season!
