Our tulip field is looking great! The Rye grass has a great start. Last year the rye grass really helped with mud and erosion control, plus it’s really pretty! We moved the deer fence on the view side so there’s a lot more field between the rows and the fence now. Should make for better pictures! I can’t wait for spring Tulip Season🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Christmas time in Tennessee is quite magical. It’s cold and yet we don’t really get snow (usually) but there is something magical that happens which you can only experience if you spend some time outside in the forest. The pine trees begin to emit this wonderful, intense smell that reminds me of my childhood where we played in the woods all day and climbed pine trees in my cousins front yard. We would come home covered in pine sap with our bellies hungry and our hearts full. It’s my favorite time of year to take a walk among the trees and just breathe deep the magical smell of Christmas in the air on the farm♥️🌲🎄🥰

I am constantly being criticized and it is just awful. I find myself building walls and keeping to myself more and more just to avoid saying the wrong thing or coming across mad.

Over the past 5 years I have learned so much about canning. On rainy days I try to can something. We eat all of it every year. It’s so nice to grab a jar and heat it up for a quick, healthy, homemade dinner! Tonight we are having canned venison and homemade bread for a delicious French Dip sandwich with fresh grown horseradish sauce. I can’t wait for dinner!

Y’all! All those pumpkins you used to decorate for fall and Thanksgiving? Find a farmer to donate them to instead of trashing them! Even if they are getting soft, almost all farm animals love to eat those pumpkins. They are full of good vitamins, minerals and fiber! June and Buckley agree 👍

Could NOT do any of this without his help and support. He juggles a full time job (more like 50+ hours per week), he volunteers countless hours every week with a local non-profit, is constantly building something and yet he has time to help me with my shenanigans. When out kids need him, he drops everything. I am blessed. I am so, so thankful for this husband and best friend of mine!
