AKC requires all major studs get genotyped to ensure there is proof of pedigree for his progeny.
I just think it’s awesome they can DNA a dog with simple cheek swab! It makes you feel a tiny bit like a detective. 🕵️‍♀️

ENS is in full swing over here!

Obviously, this is doing ENS (or early neurological stimulation) while holding a stuffy baby and juggling a camera 😜, but it gives you an idea of the “exercise” we do with each puppy until they are 16 days old.
ENS is said to build stronger temperaments and immune systems! 💪

It doesn’t stop here either. Our puppies receive an age appropriate “exercise” until going home! Lots of handling makes the best puppies! 🐾

🎶 One of these things is not like the other…

Yes! That’s a Lucy/Jester baby snuggling with Pearl’s white puppies. Pearl has been such a good mom that her puppies are almost getting too fat! Instead of keeping her away from her babies, we decided to give Lucy a bit of a break, and have Pearl nanny a few pups for a while.
Not just any dog would put up with this, but Pearl didn’t even bat an eye. 🥰

We have Lucy babies! 🎉🐾

Working quickly Monday afternoon, Lucy delivered 10 healthy puppies. An even litter of five and five!

She was hungry after all that effort and downed a whole bowl of food! She wants to be sure she has enough milk for her babies. 🍼

There are more than enough puppies in this litter to go around, so let us know if you might need a new puppy in your home the first weekend in February. 🙂🐾

It can be difficult to to keep this many puppies alive the first few days. We will be working hard and asking God‘s blessing on our efforts as we care for all these pups!
