** HOUSE BROKEN DOG ALERT **
ROSE IS LOOKING FOR A REAL HOME 💕
Rose came to us with an injury, and she is on the mend. She currently wears a thunder shirt to help prevent her from chewing at her incision site. The wound is healing well, but Rose is not doing well in the shelter environment.
It is very clear that Rose is a house dog who is used to living inside with her family. She is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, 100% house trained, and kennels with ease.
Rose is good with kids, other dogs, and was even fine with cats. As always, we recommend a meet and greet if you have other dogs. She walks well on a leash and is generally well-mannered.
Now for the honest part—Rose does have some anxieties. She is fearful of loud noises such as mowers, gunshots, and thunderstorms, and will try to escape when scared. This may have contributed to her running off and getting injured. She will load right up for a car ride but shakes and tries to go after passing vehicles, so a crate is recommended for travel.
Rose is not perfect, but she is worth it. She likely didn’t have her previous owners come forward due to her quirks, but we are determined to give her a fair chance at finding the right home.
Rose would thrive in a calm, indoor home where she can feel safe. She is simply not suited for shelter life.
