Nola, and The Case of the Missing Family 🕵️‍♀️🐾

“Hello, my name is Nola, and I’m investigating a very serious mystery: Where is my forever family?!

I’m a 2-year-old mixed-breed princess with puppy dog eyes and a love for peanut butter, packed into approximately 40 pounds of pure enthusiasm. I LOVE to play fetch, zoom around the yard, and collect belly rubs like they’re evidence.

I’m energetic, goofy, and always ready for an adventure, but I’m also a total sweetheart who loves kisses, attention, and hanging out with my people. 🫶

A few important clues for my future family:
🔎 I need a fenced yard because I’m a bit of an escape artist
🔎 I’d prefer to be the only princess in the castle, no other female dogs, please
🔎 I have lots of energy and would love an active home
🔎 I'm getting trained through Mutts With Manners!

🚨🧺 URGENT: TOWELS NEEDED 🧺🚨

There's a first time for everything and this is a MAJOR first: we’re ​almost out of clean towels!!

We urgently need donations of:
✅ Bath towels
✅ Beach towels

We’re installing a new laundry setup thanks to Alliance Laundry (more on that soon!), but right now we need​ bunches of towels to keep shelter pets clean, dry, and comfortable.

Got extras? Please bring them by the shelter during business hours​. OR, take some of our dirty laundry home and do a few loads!! Thank you, fur-iends!

PUPDATE: Roni found his person! More later...

🐾☕ Roni Has Been Waiting Far Too Long ☕🐾

Roni is a handsome 2-year-old hound mix with a joyful spirit, a bright smile, and the kind of personality that wins people over everywhere he goes. 💛

And somehow… he’s also become our longest term resident.

This sweet boy absolutely loves people. He’s done wonderfully meeting kids during school field trips, enjoys Doggie Day Out adventures, and even handles busy coffee shops like a seasoned professional. Whether he’s out exploring town or soaking up attention from new friends, Roni takes everything in stride. 🐶✨

Now, inside his kennel? You may catch him attempting some impressive parkour routines. 😄 He gets excited, and shelter life can make it hard for him to show his best side at first glance. But once he’s out with people, his easygoing, affectionate, goofy personality shines immediately.

Roni has spent far too long waiting for someone to see past the kennel excitement and recognize what an incredible companion he truly is. He’s social, adaptable, loving, and ready to be included in someone’s everyday life.

We would love nothing more than to see our longest resident finally become somebody’s forever dog. 💛

🐾🕊️ Birdie Is Looking for Someone Willing to Believe in Her 🕊️🐾

Birdie is easy to love. Truly. 💛

She’s affectionate, funny, full of personality, and has the kind of expressive face that makes people fall for her quickly. But Birdie also comes with a mischievous streak that has made finding the right home a little more complicated.

She’s been adopted before and returned for behaviors related to that playful, clever, occasionally chaotic side of herself. Birdie is a dog who needs guidance, patience, structure, and someone willing to work with her instead of expecting instant perfection.

And honestly? Dogs like Birdie are often the ones who end up becoming the most rewarding companions. 🐶💛

She’s smart, engaging, and full of life. She just needs an adopter who understands that some dogs take a little extra effort and consistency while they learn the rules of home life.

Birdie doesn’t need someone perfect. She just needs someone committed. Someone willing to laugh at the chaos sometimes, redirect it when needed, and help her become the best version of herself.

Because underneath all that mischief is a really lovable dog who wants connection just as much as anyone else. 💛

We’ll be out at the farmer’s market tomorrow with some of our adoptable dogs, including sweethearts Zucchini, Sirloin, and high-energy goofball Bojangles.💛🐶

"Kiki is a very sweet, loving , chihuahua/ pug mix . She is calm, quiet , she is shy until she gets to know you , give her a few treats and she will quickly become your best friend. Once she gets to know you she will want to stay close to you cuddled on the couch or in the bed . She loves to give kisses . She is approximately 8 years old, is house trained , comes when her name is called and will follow some basic commands . She loves laying in the sun in the yard or porch."

🐾🚪 Wanted for Crimes Against Containment: 🚪🐾
Focus & Puddin

These two girls have many wonderful qualities… but respecting fences and confinement is not currently among them. 😅💛

🐶 Puddin is a golden Lab/Great Pyrenees mix around 2 years old. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly into a sweet, affectionate companion.

🐶 Focus is also around 2 years old, a beautiful black/brindle-and-white mixed breed with plenty of personality and curiosity packed into her adventurous spirit.

Together, these girls have proven themselves to be extremely talented escape artists. Gates, weak spots, unsecured doors, unattended opportunities — they notice everything. If there’s a way out, they’re likely already considering it.

That doesn’t make them bad dogs. It means they’ll need adopters who understand the importance of:
🔒 Secure fencing
🚪 Careful door management
🧠 Plenty of mental and physical stimulation
🐾 Supervision while settling in

Both dogs are smart, active, and curious, and dogs like that often become little masterminds when they’re bored or under-stimulated.

For the right homes willing to stay one step ahead of them, Focus and Puddin have all the makings of fun, loving, deeply rewarding companions… even if they do occasionally think the rules are optional. 😄💛
