Robert's a dog genius and if you've got a puppy, you should go get this.

Mason is barrier aggressive, which means when he sees people at the front of his stall, he lunges, snarles, and snaps at them. But once he's let out, he's sweet as can be! And as a shelter dog this is one of those behaviors that could seriously cost him his life, needlessly. See what one training session did for rewiring how he deals with the stimulus of having people at his stall door. Forney Animal Shelter

What happens when a dog trainer who specializes in behavior modification, and Pet obedience tries to teach his high drive dog a behavior that not only SHE hasn't been shown before but that HE'S (I've) literally never taught before? 🤦😂

Here's some late night training shenanigans teaching Delta to go "around" the tree.

This is our first time going over anything like this and I've never personally taught this 😂

When you're trying to eliminate a deeply engrained behavior, the first order of business is to inhibit the ongoing practice of it.

Kalani had multiple human bites on record so I knew at some point I was going to have to have a few uncomfortable moments with her, and that those moments would most likely be on leash. So we sat down to begin conditioning her to put the chain collar on herself.

If the dog could drive the training exercise, and put the collar on herself, we shouldn't run into her becoming combative about putting it on.

This dog was very crafty so teaching her that the very device I intend to use for accountability is a good thing, was important to me.
