We have AMAZING VOLUNTEERS 💙 who are diligently showing up daily to pick up 500 # of manure in careful stewardship of our land and horses' health. We have fabulous compost available year-round and grateful hearts for this team!

Today's Grace Filled Day is in honor of Jane Allen Magneson's one more trip around the sun. She's affectionately known at the barn as "JJ", Joyful Jane, for her mere presence makes us smile but her encouragement to everyone she meets makes a lasting impression. Happy Birthday JJ 💙. Show her some love folks!!

We had a packed Bunk Room last night for this Fall's Orientation! Thank you to all the new faces who came to explore the mission of Rhythms of Grace and how to make an impact with us. What a blessing to meet 20+ new individuals interested in Volunteering! REMINDER: Each night this week is Training. Tues: Barn Buddy & Grooming 5;30-8:30PM; Wed: Sidewalker & Emergency Preparedness (MANDATORY); Thu: Horse Leader & Ground Driving Practice. Our Fall Program kicks off September 1.

The heat index is still 111 degrees at 9PM. With no breeze and no trees for shade, it's a full time job keeping 12 horses upright in this scorching heat. Garden hose misting, electrolytes, individual hosing and rubbing alcohol sponge baths on chest arteries throughout the day and evening. Good thing Moses loves the water 💦💧🐎

CLIENT REMINDER! The deadline for registration and payment for FALL Session Programming is AUGUST 1. There are very few openings remaining on the schedule for Therapeutic Horsemanship and Occupational Therapy. All registration details were emailed out twice and are also available on the website. 🧡🐴💙 Classes and therapy continue September 1.

QUESTION? Which horses are sweating the most in this 100 heat index season? The "redheads". All day long the horses have free access to a mister and are being cold-hosed to help them in this heat and humidity. They all receive daily electrolytes and garlic infused salts to help with the bugs and rehydration. City water bill will be $$$ 👀
