Celebrate your furry friends with a pet walk, costume contest, food trucks, vendor booths, and more! Pets will also be available for adoption, offering a chance to give a loving pet their forever home.

If your pet's scratching more than they usually do, chewing on their paws, or sneezing a lot, it might be more than summer bugs.

Just like us humans, pets can have allergies too, and can react to all kinds of things within their environment:

🌾 Grass, pollen, or mold
🐜 Flea bites or dust mites
🍗 Certain foods or ingredients
🧼 Household cleaners or grooming products

Allergy symptoms can be from mild to severe, show up as chronic ear infections, hot spots, or even digestive issues. If your pet seems constantly uncomfortable, talk to your vet. Getting on top of the issue can make a world of difference.

Pets are probably the best thing to ever happen to humans. There, we said it. But if you don't believe us, take a second to think about it. 🤔

They do it without even trying, really. Pets remind us to play, to forgive, to nap, and to love limitlessly. Honestly, they might be the best life coaches around.

Doctor and vet visits might not be your favorite appointments to make — for human and animals alike. But they're necessary, and how you get ready for your pet's next vet trip can make a huge difference in their and your experience.

Whether it's packing a blanket or toy from home, bringing treats, jotting down your questions and concerns before you go, or making sure your pet's medical records are updated, anything you can do to reduce stress before the vet is a good idea.

Again, regular check-ups are important, but let's make them a little less stressful and little more productive when we can.

Knowing proper pet first aid, of course, doesn't replace a vet, but bridges the gap in those crucial moments before you can get to a vet. A little prep now goes a long way and your reponse time matters.

🧰 Keep a pet-specific first aid kit at home and in the car
🧊 Learn to spot signs of overheating or poisoning
📞 Save your vet’s contact info and a nearby 24/7 emergency clinic

We brought it up a few weeks ago, but July is also Pet Hydration Awareness Month, so it's the perfect time start building better water habits for your pets because most won't tell you when they're thirsty! 🚰

Dehydration can lead to fatigue, overheating, and medical emergencies. Make sure pets always have access to clean, cool water — especially after walks, playtime, or car rides.

Here's some quick hydration tips:

✅ Refresh water bowls daily
✅ Add ice cubes or switch to wet food for extra moisture
✅ Bring a portable bowl when you’re out and about

Each July, thousands of pets go missing, especially around the 4th when fireworks and BBQs are in full effect, and open doors make it easier for scared animals to slip out of sight. 🐕💨

That's why Lost Pet Prevention Month is a great reminder to double-check your pet safety game plan. Start out simple:

🏷️ Is your pet wearing a collar with updated ID tags?
📲 Do you have a recent photo of them saved on your phone?
📡 Is their microchip registered with current contact info?

Before enjoying the 4th this Friday, take some time to talk with friends and family and get everyone on the same page about your pet safety protocols and escape plan.
