These kittens have been imprisoned. why? Eating way too much. These little guys eat 12 cans of wetfood and 3 cups of dry a day. They plead their innocence. They blame is on worms. But we know they've been dewormed. They're greed is insatiable.
(I put them in here when I'm cleaning their real hone. Since they feel they need to be involved in cleaning.)

Another Christmas miracle. I got a call yesterday from our friends at All About Animals Rescue saying they could do Sweet Pea's amputation Friday morning for a heavily discounted price!!! I'm so grateful and happy for her. With that being said, her surgery has been fully covered by all you amazing people. Thank you all so much for helping our little girl. 😭❤️

Update! Sweet Pea will be going in for a consultation on Friday at Midway. If all goes to plan she will get her surgery monday. She's currently on meds and will stay comfy until then. I can't express enough how sweet and kind this baby is. She's been with us for awhile. I'm hoping we will finally be able to find her a home once she's healed.

Our poor Sweet Pea fell somewhere in the free roam rooms and managed to break her rear leg in two places. 😭 We are not sure what she fell off of, or how this happened. But this sweet baby is still purring and wanting love. She has been one of our kindest cats here at the rescue, and earned her name. Amputation us the best option for this. Trying to fix her leg would be risky and extend her pain. The breaks are pretty high up, and because its her tibia and fibula it would be very hard to set them right. It would also be very expensive to do this. I am going to call around to try to find a low cost place to get her into. This is such an awful time for this to happen. We currently have her on some hefty meds, and she is comfortable. If you'd like to help our baby with this surgery please check the links below.

Update: Owner of the company still hasn't reached out to me. But the police did find them. Luckily they had their insurance info on their website so I was able to make a claim already.

Everything rescue related is currently on hold. Yesterday while I was taking care of our cats at Petco, a vehicle owned by a local lawn care company hit my parked car and left the scene. They took off the whole front of my car. Super cool of them, really appreciate them ruining the rescue's vehicle and then fleeing the scene. They were already found by the police. Not sure why their genius driver thought they could get away with this. They were driving a marked vehicle in a parking lot with tons of cameras. Shameful thats how they conduct their business.

Adaya, our sweet girl with such a sad story.
Adaya was once a friendly stray cat. She was trusting and let people pet and love on her. Unfortunately her kind personality caused her so much harm. She was captured by some unknown cruel person and a shoelace was tied tightly around her back leg. By the time she was trapped, her leg needed to be amputated. She is no longer the trusting cat she once was. She lives here at the sanctuary where she is comfortable with the other cats. She's often seen cuddling and playing with them. But when humans gets too close she bolts. She's ok with the main workers here. She won't let us touch her. But she isn't terrified of us. Without her rear leg, she wasn't a good candidate for tnr. Living here with her cat friends is the best option for her. Now she'll never know pain, hunger, or cold again. She can play with the friends she has and sleep without worry. We can't blame her for being scared. But I do hope one day she learns to let us in.

Jackson says hi! I still frequently get asked why Jackson is still here. And the answer is, while he's made leaps and bounds with his progress he does still have his issues. Jackie does still bite, scratch and attempts to attack people when he feels its necessary. Unfortunately he feels its necessary at random times, usually without anyone even interacting with him. Everyone here has been bitten by him atleast once. No these are not love bites. Adopting him out would be a major liability to his own safety. He's been healthy and very happy here, so there's no real reason to even attempt it. He may be built a bit different from other cats. But we love him nonetheless.

Tux hasn't received any applications so far! I guess everyone is missing what I see here. A beautiful charcoal nose. A coat that looks like snowflakes on an asphalt drive. A personality as sweet as sugar cookies. Could there be a more perfect guy to bring home for Christmas! Tux is around 6 months old. Fully vetted, great with other cats and was curious everytime he's met a dog. He'll do great in any home with time to acclimate. He's at the Bowling green petco if you'd like to meet him!
