Olive and Dobby were returned to rescue on July 4th, last year. We were hopeful that they would be back in a home(s) by now. Dobby did get the opportunity to be adopted, however it didn’t work out. He was not able to settle in and be comfortable, so he was brought back to the kennels.

We are disappointed and sad that we didn’t place them appropriately the first go around, but to see them sit in rescue when they were raised in homes is heartbreaking. Please share Olive and Dobby and let’s find them a family or families that will make that commitment.

Sometimes life gets crazy and discouraging, but we keep pushing on, hoping people will do better for the animals. As we sometimes get hyper focused on the darkness, we know there is also light and goodness.

It’s been awhile since we’ve asked for an alumni roll call and they’re always so uplifting, so here goes… let us see all those sweet pups living their best lives! We will start it off with Stella (BCHS 2017), Theia (owner surrender via The COVE 2021), and Lupe (PRAS, 2021)❤️

We are in need of fosters or adopters, as these dogs deserve to be in homes where they can be showered with love and attention. Three dogs have been returned in just two weeks and it’s incredibly disheartening. With that being said, we are grateful that the dogs have been given a chance at a loving home, and also that the adopters contact and return them to us.

Trace needs a ride home a soon as possible. He is currently in Bastian, VA, which is 6 hours from us. Is anyone able to help get him back home? We could break it up into legs if possible. Please comment here if you might be available.

We welcomed this little handsome guy earlier this week. He clearly needed medical care, and our friends at Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter saw to it that he got started on the path to felling better.

He is super clingy, loves getting all the pets and attention, and enjoys a good treat😂 We are excited to watch his transformation and will share with y’all. Stay tuned for updates!

Oh yeah, we are taking name suggestions too. Please share yours in the comments!
