For those who have followed us for awhile, you may recognize Rufus, now Zeke. He arrived in 2020 and was adopted pretty quickly. His previous family worked on his separation anxiety and he was living his best life. Unfortunately, Zeke and a neighbor dog had an altercation this weekend and he was returned. Zeke has been non reactive to the dogs in the kennels..as a matter of fact, Charlotte barks her head off at him as he walks by her and every single time, Zeke turns his head and tucks his tail.

Zeke is currently recovering from his wounds, both physical and psychological. Thank you, Furgent Care Vet, for getting him cleaned up, medicated, rabies vaccinated, and heartworm tested❤️ Thank you, Lauren, for covering a large chunk of his initial vetting. I appreciate you🐾 When Zeke is feeling a little better, we hope to get him into a home where he can build some confidence and live a good life again.

First photo is Zeke in 2020 and the remaining photos are Zeke now. Thank you to those who support us and our mission. Although we are sad that Zeke is back, we are grateful his family brought him back to us. We will update as we get reacquainted with our good boy❤️

We are so very excited to share that Rudy finally found his happily ever after🎉

Calvin and Colleen met Rudy while he was being fostered by friends of theirs, Leslie and Dave, and offered to keep Rudy while they were on vacation. Between the two couples, Rudy has been in foster for over a year and we are so grateful! Sometimes it just takes awhile to find that happy ending❤️

‼️🚘 Jessa needs a ride from Newport News to Currituck on Wednesday. Is anyone available to help? She is very sweet and rides nicely. Pick up preferably around 3:30, but may be able to be a little flexible if needed😊
