We're here with our weekly roundup of adoptable kittens! 🐱 Right now, Furkids is caring for 475 kittens under the age of six months old. Talk about the whole kit-ten caboodle!

Thousands of people have seen Nova and heard her story, but no one has chosen her yet. Her journey began as a puppy on the beaches of Puerto Rico. As a puppy on an island with little resources, the odds were stacked against her, so she came to Furkids for a chance at a better life. She was quickly adopted, but a few years later, her owner took a job that meant Nova couldn't come with her.

Nova has been back in our program since January of 2025 with little interest, and we can't understand why. Nova is a fan-favorite at Furkids for her one-of-a-kind personality. This 5.5 year old girl loves to be around people. She's eager to please, knows plenty of commands, is housetrained, and LOVES belly rubs. 💜

Nova can be a little selective when it comes to other dogs, and she has a tendency to chase cats and other small animals, so she'd likely do best as the only pet in the home. A foster-to-adopt option is available for her, so you can get to know one another before making it official.

We know there is someone out there who will fall head-over-heels for Nova, they just have to give her a chance. 💫 To learn more about Nova, please fill out an adoption survey at furkids.org/adopt. Nova is currently located at Furkids Sutherlin Dog Shelter in Cu***ng, GA.

It's the final day of Bissell Pet Foundation's "Empty The Shelters" adoption event, but it's not too late to find a new best friend! We'll be at the PetSmart Woodstock and PetSmart Buckhead with some adoptable and adorable cats and kittens who want to meet you 😻✨

At the end of January, we met Rori and her three babies at an overcrowded animal control facility. It didn't take long for us to fall absolutely head-over-heels with this perfect little lady. 🤍

Rori is a sensitive, gentle dog with a past that's a huge mystery to us. She bonds hard with the people she's close with, though she can be a little shy when you first meet her. Rori loves other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats while in foster care. She's housetrained, but still working on being comfortable walking on leash, so a fenced-in yard would be a huge plus for this adorable girl.

Rori is eligible for foster-to-adopt, so you can get to know one another before making it official. Rori is about 6.5 years old and weighs 50 pounds. To learn more about Rori, please visit furkids.org/adopt to apply! ✨

What a week it's been at Furkids! With our new Giaquinto Medical Center about to begin operations, our team has been busy this week!

❤️‍🩹 On Saturday, we held the ribbon cutting ceremony for our Giaquinto Medical Center - a 12,000 square foot facility that will complete the Furkids headquarters, allowing us to save significantly more lives. We can't wait to share more about this incredible facility!
🐾 After our ribbon cutting ceremony, we invited Furkids alumni adopters to come take a tour of our headquarters property! We loved seeing so many familiar faces and getting to see photos of our former Furkids living their best lives.
💙 We loved hosting PetSmart Charities and other Georgia adoption partners for an Adoption Summit! It was an impactful evening discussing how to remove barriers for adoption. The store teams even volunteered and stuffed hundreds of Kong toys for our dogs! Thank you, PetSmart Charities!
😻 Bissell's "Empty the Shelters" has been a huge success for Furkids, with over 150 of our cats and kittens finding their forever homes because of this event. We're hosting adoption events all weekend so you can find your new friend - learn more at furkids.org/events!
🏥 In preparation for the move in to our new Giaquinto Medical Center, our medical team worked for two days with a specialist to learn 5s techniques. Then they organized their new work space together and started unpacking! Our team is committed to operating as efficiently as possible so we can save more lives through our new medical center!

It's been a busy week here at Furkids! There's so much to look forward to, and we can't wait to share more of these moments with you. ✨
