Every week at Furkids brings stories of happiness & hope! 🫶 Here is what made this past week so special..

💙 Joy was in the air last week! Over a dozen of our dogs and pups found their forever families last weekend at our dog shelter & Petsmart Charities’ Adopt Joy events. We appreciate Petsmart for supporting our mission and partnering with us to save lives!
💉 These pets aresafer and healthier thanks to another successful Furkids vaccine & microchip clinic - 145 animals received low-cost vaccines and microchips this past Saturday! Thank you to Petco Love for providing free vaccines to pets in need.
🛍️ What a fantastic turnout at our Johns Creek Thrift Store Open House! We loved seeing so many supporters at our thrift stores, enjoying all the deals and seeing some of our cute puppies, too! Every treasure you buy helps animals in need. If you are doing some fall cleaning at your home, please donate your items to a Furkids Thrift Store! furkids.org/thrift-store
🐾 A group of parents & students from The Collab stopped by last week to drop off donations, tour our headquarters property, and meet with some of our animals. We love to see young kids enjoying all the beauty that Destination Furkids has to offer.
🛋️ Our pups had a blast hamming it up for the camera this week in honor of National Dog Day. Thank you, Haverty’s, for partnering with Furkids and helping us find homes for these sweet faces!

Say hello to Lucky 🍀 This three year old, 53 pound Lab mix is basically a big bundle of joy on four paws. He's a tennis ball chaser, stick collector, hose-sipper, and expert smoocher, all at the same time. His idea of a perfect day is a game of fetch in the yard followed by lots of snuggles.

Smart, eager to please, and housebroken, Lucky already knows commands like "sit", "stay", & "drop it", and he comes running when you call his name. He's still learning some leash manners and would do best as the only dog in the home. Lucky has a soft spot for teenagers, but can be a little weary about men he's never met before. But, if you take things slow and are patient, Lucky will form a loyal and lifelong bond with you.

Whoever adopts this sweet boy will be so lucky to have him in their home! 💚 A foster-to-adopt option is available for Lucky, giving you the chance to get to know each other before making it official.
