Fez loved his shockwave therapy session for his hips! He did not need any sedation for it and seemed to enjoy his first treatment. Shockwave can help alleviate musculoskeletal pain and stimulate natural healing in a non-invasive way.

We are excited to add a new treatment option for patients with acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as muscle or joint injuries, arthritis, cranial cruciate disease, IVDD (back related pain/inflammation), shoulder/elbow pain and inflammation, muscle/tendon calcifications, even fracture healing.

It is called shockwave, and the technology uses focused (short/compressed) soundwaves to travel through the tissue to the designated damaged tissue. Shockwave treats pain syndromes by repeatedly triggering the body’s own self-healing processes.
It stimulates new blood vessel formation, regulates inflammation, releases nitrogen monoxide, changes levels of substance p, releases growth factors, exhibits chondroprotective effects (protects cartilage in joints), stimulates lubricin production, and stimulates stem cells.

Schedule with us to take advantage of this new therapy!

I’ll let you guess what day it is! After you guess, grab your cuppa and settle for the story of Gouda.

Apple turnovers, oh what a treat,
Flaky and crispy, they’re fun to eat!
Filled with apples, gooey and warm,
They make my tummy feel like a storm!

So here’s to the pastry, golden and bright,
Apple turnovers, my favorite bite!
I’ll eat you for breakfast, lunch, and tea,
Apple turnovers, you’re the best to me!

Once upon a time, in the sweltering heat of an Alabama summer, a young brindle dog named Gouda roamed the streets. Gouda, a one-year-old, 38-pound gentleman, was likely a mix of Mountain Cur and Boxer. Despite the challenges of being a stray, Gouda’s spirit remained unbroken, and his heart full of hope.

One particularly scorching day, Gouda was found by a kind-hearted rescuer who couldn’t bear to see such a sweet dog suffer in the heat. They took him in, giving him food, water, and a safe place to rest. Gouda’s journey to find his furever family had begun.

Gouda quickly adapted to his new temporary home. He was a super sweet and affectionate boy, getting along wonderfully with the other dogs, cats, and even the kids in the house. His gentle nature and playful spirit made him a favorite among everyone he met. Gouda was housebroken and never caused any trouble when left alone. He loved to play, but he also cherished the moments when he could curl up on the couch and cuddle with his human friends.

As days turned into weeks, Gouda began to learn the luxuries of being a beloved family member. He picked up basic obedience commands with ease and showed a keen interest in learning more. His medium energy level made him the perfect companion for both playtime and relaxation.

Despite his happiness in his temporary home, Gouda longed for a family of his own. He dreamed of a place where he could stay forever, surrounded by love and care. His rescuers knew that Gouda was ready for his furever family, and they set out to find the perfect match for him.

They created a profile for Gouda, highlighting his many wonderful qualities and his readiness to be a loyal and loving companion. They shared his story far and wide, hoping to find the family that would make Gouda their big cheese.

If you think you could be the perfect match for Gouda, please apply to adopt him at Big Fluffy Dogs and contact his matchmaker at: [email protected]. Gouda is waiting with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart, ready to bring joy and love to his Furever family.
