November is winding down, how did your pet’s health go this year?

Take this time to review when their last checkup was, when vaccinations are due, when next dental cleaning is. Setting one date now makes a big difference.

🚨 Rabies Exposure Alert – Blue Ridge Area 🚨

The Blue Ridge Health District released an alert yesterday after an aggressive black cat was trapped and tested positive for rabies.

If you had any contact with this cat — including being scratched, bitten, or exposed to its saliva — on November 3rd or 4th, it’s important to seek medical care immediately. Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms appear, but prompt treatment is highly effective.

Rabies in our area is rare, but this incident is a reminder of how important prevention is. If your pets are not up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations, now is the perfect time to fix that.

Call your veterinarian today to schedule a vaccination appointment.
Stay safe, and please share to help spread awareness.
