These cats were brought in to us by the Crookston Police Department. The female was brought in last night and was found near 1600 N Broadway and the white male was found today near the Green Tree Apartments.

If you recognize them or know who they belongs to, please contact the CPD as soon as possible so we can get them back home!

These adoptions are a reminder of why we do what we do. Every animal that comes through our doors deserves a loving family, and this week, Mushu and Salt got exactly that.

⛈️ Thunderstorm Safety for Pets ⛈️

Summer storms can be scary for our furry friends. Loud thunder, flashing lightning, and strong winds can cause anxiety and even lead pets to run away if they become frightened.

Here are a few ways to help keep your pets safe during severe weather:

🐾 Bring pets indoors before the storm arrives
🐾 Make sure collars and ID tags are up to date
🐾 Create a quiet, secure space where they can feel safe
🐾 Close curtains or blinds to reduce flashes of lightning
🐾 Turn on calming music, a fan, or the TV to help mask thunder sounds
🐾 Never leave pets outside during severe weather
🐾 Keep emergency supplies, food, water, and medications readily available

If your pet experiences severe anxiety during storms, talk with your veterinarian about ways to help them stay calm and comfortable.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Kitten Yoga this past week at Burnham Creek Healing! 💜

Because of your support, we were able to spend an evening filled with relaxation, laughter, kitten cuddles, and plenty of adorable interruptions from our tiny yoga assistants. 🧘‍♀️🐱

From curious kittens exploring yoga mats to playful pounces during poses, every moment helped raise awareness and support for the animals in our care. Events like these would not be possible without our amazing community.
