👉WHY TWO INVOICES
One invoice holds the horse from shipping for slau ghter while we plea for a home and try to raise for immediate care donations. Nearly all need the immediate care donations to provide an exam by a veterinarian or a qualified person to be sure the horse can travel to safety as these horses may be sick, dehydrated and in pain.
Every horse we help comes in need of immediate attention such as shoes removed; hoof care and correction; teeth floated sometimes extractions ; rehab for poor nutrition, often no nutrition; wound care; veterinary attention; quarantine; time to rehabilitate; and transport from the pen to safety. All are immediate first steps. The expenses exceed 850 we ask for help with.
In addition SRF remains every horse’s lifetime guardian, to prevent cycling back to risk.
If donations are received for both amounts (both invoices) we send transport and the horse is paid for and released to us.
It is irresponsible to take in another horse without some financial help when we have 483 horses under our care and expense today. Thank you for your support.
Most of these horses do not find homes and remain with SRF in sanctuary care under our expense for life.
