May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Veterinary medicine can be beautiful, rewarding, heartbreaking, exhausting, and emotional — sometimes all in the same day. Veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and receptionists care not only for sick and injured pets, but also support the people who love them through some of life’s hardest moments. The AVMA reports that veterinarians are at a significantly higher risk for mental health struggles, including anxiety, depression, and burnout.

This month we’re recognizing the importance of mental health in vet med and reminding our team, clients, and community that kindness matters.
