Our receptionist have been working hard to get all our Thanksgiving bags ready to be picked up! We are still taking donations up until Thanksgiving and any and all donations help! We appreciate everyone that has donated so far and has helped spread the word! 🤎

🦜 This handsome patient is Sam, a 25 year old Blue and Gold Macaw. He came to see Dr. Lindsey this week because he just wasn’t feeling quite himself. His owner knew something was off and wanted to get him checked out — a smart move, since birds are excellent at hiding signs of illness until they’re really sick.

To make sure we didn’t miss anything, Sam was gently sedated with help from his owner so we could safely perform:
✔️ Radiographs
✔️ Crop cytology
✔️ Bloodwork

These tests help us look at everything from organ health to infection risk, and they give us a much clearer picture of what’s going on inside.

Sam was such a brave patient, and we’re glad his owner trusted us to give him the care he needed. 💙 Regular check-ups and quick attention to even small changes can make all the difference for our feathered friends.
