Some houseplants can be toxic to cats, even just a nibble can lead to serious health issues.

Popular plants like lilies, pothos, and philodendrons can cause vomiting, lethargy, and even organ failure. Keep your curious cat safe by researching pet-safe plants and keeping harmful ones out of reach.

FOUR GREAT CATS UP FOR ADOPTION-PLEASE SHARE

We have 4 cats up for adoption and ready for their forever homes. All cats have been, spayed, fully vaccinated, all tested negative for Felv/FIV and dewormed. Kittens are great but you have to train them and the first year can be a bit trying. These girls are sweet and calm and would make a great addition to the family. Please consider adopting one of these wonderful ladies.

🐾Sophie (2yrs old) came to us in May 2024 with a litter of 4 kittens. All the kittens have found a home, now it’s mom’s turn. She is a beautiful long-haired cat who is incredibly sweet, loves attention and to be petted.

🐾Penelope came to us at 6 months old and only 4lbs. She went into heat 2 weeks after coming to us. Thankfully she came to us before she got pregnant! Penelope is a sweet, quirky girl who loves to give head butts and is snuggly. She is currently 8 months old and would do best in a single cat household.

🐾Callie came to us in February 2025 as a stray from a good Samaritan. Callie is approximately 2 yrs old and 9lbs and loves to turn her head to the side and look at you. Similar to what dogs do when you make a funny sound. This sweetheart has incredible, beautiful markings and her funny personality makes her a great all-around cat.

🐾UPDATE......ADOPTED Margaret came to us in April 2025 as a neighborhood cat from a good samaritan. Margaret had an injured leg where she wasn’t putting any weight on it for a couple weeks. The doctors tried very hard to save the leg but after a long surgery it was best to amputate. She is no longer in pain, has healed from surgery and is ready for a new indoor home where she can be loved for the rest of her life. She is very affectionate! She loves to be petted and loved on! This green-eyed beauty is approx. 4 years old and 9lbs.

Please call Ross Animal Hospital at 770-787-4899 to make an appointment to meet our adoptables. If you already have a full house then please share the post so we can get these ladies new homes. Thank you!

Did you know a dog's sense of smell is up to 100,000 times more sensitive than ours? 🐶

Their noses are packed with scent receptors that help them track, detect, and even identify health issues in humans. It's no wonder dogs are used in everything from search-and-rescue to medical detection.

Let's keep those super sniffers healthy with regular checkups!
