Rest assured while you are off at work or vacation your dog will be promptly picked up and delivered to our facility for a fun filled stay. We cater especially to your canine companions in a kennel free, home like setting, all surrounded by 5, lushly wooded acres. We want to put y

ou, as well as your dog, at ease while you are apart. Your dog will stay with us as if one of our own. They will get to hang out, roll on the lawn, splash in the water, and most of all play with other well socialized dogs. We are able to provide one on one attention to each dog with lots of affection, games of chase, ear scratches and belly rubs, to name a few. We provide a warm, loving, stimulating environment for your dog. Whether it be for daycare or overnight boarding, your dog is sure to come home tuckered out from a great stay filled with fun!

Over the past several days, many of you have seen a social media post regarding a recent boarding stay at Creekside Country Canines. We understand the concerns this has raised, and we believe it’s important to address them openly.

First and foremost, we are deeply sorry that one of our clients left our facility feeling distressed and concerned about their dog’s care. We understand why any pet owner would be alarmed by reports that a training collar remained on their dog at pickup and was difficult to remove. We take those concerns seriously.

We are currently conducting a thorough review of this incident to determine exactly what occurred, including why the collar remained on at pickup, how it was fitted, whether our internal procedures were followed, and whether there were any breakdowns in communication with the owner. We are committed to learning from this to continue providing the best care possible to our community’s pets.

For transparency, our facility does utilize vibration and tone training collars in limited circumstances after other behavior-management techniques have been unsuccessful. These collars are intended only as a communication tool and are never intended to cause pain or punishment. However, we also recognize that many owners may have questions about this practice, and we are reviewing not only our procedures but also how we communicate these policies with clients before and during their dog’s stay.

Regardless of the findings of our review, we are already evaluating additional safeguards, including enhanced documentation, equipment checks before every dog is released, and additional staff training to ensure our procedures are followed consistently and our communication with owners is as clear as possible.

We understand that trust is earned through transparency and accountability. While we cannot publicly discuss every detail of an individual client’s stay out of respect for their privacy, we are committed to listening to concerns, answering general questions about our policies, and making improvements where needed.
