Every blood donation has the power to change a life, and today we’re proud to kick off our Bloodworks Northwest mobile blood drive campaign at our Mud Bay Tumwater location.

One of today’s donors was longtime Mud Bay employee Lani Benavente, whose donation also marked an incredible milestone: becoming a one-gallon blood donor.

For Lani, donating blood is deeply personal. “My daughter is the reason I donate blood. Donating blood allows me to turn her memory into a gift that can help another family.”

Stories like Lani’s remind us why we’re proud to partner with Bloodworks Northwest. Throughout August and September, Bloodworks Northwest will be visiting select Mud Bay locations, making it easier for our communities to donate blood and help save lives.

As Lani shared, “It doesn’t take much time, but it can make such a meaningful difference to someone who may be going through one of the most difficult moments of their life.”

We’ll also welcome artist Henry to our University Place location on Thursday, September 3rd, where he’ll be creating a live painting in-store.
