The beauty, the grace, the elega...well the shoes and hat are stylin!

Darcy returned to her roots at The Paddock Farmers Market event and took home the win as Dolly Pawton in the costume contest.

This makes her a two time pageant winner.

I think we need a Suzanne Sugarbaker outfit with tiara for our next event.

We were bummed to arrive so late (dead battery but under warranty) and the BEST neighbor ever did get us on the road though. Next year we will be back and on time-ish.

I love Honey!

Today is the last day of our Promotion for dogs over a year old and Honey is still looking for her forever home. Will today be the day that she finally finds it? Can you help us help her get out of the shelter? She is the absolute sweetest and loves everyone she meets. She is a medium energy dog but plays well with other dogs and is dying to be able to have a puppy playdate. She is working on kennel training but with consistancy that would be different in a home we suspect. She is so smart we know she has potential, we just need a home that wants to teach her. Will that be with you? Lets get Honey adopted today!

. Today we remember the ones who have left those indelible memories upon our hearts. I have loved many animals in my course of life, from my own to my patients. These are just a few, my beloved Nash and Ed, along with Rupert and Darcy's dad Cory. Their great-aunt T***s and half sister Breeze, and Bridger's daddy, Muddy. Having animals means we will inevitably lose them, but oh the joy their bright, shining lives bring us.

Have you all been to the Rainbow Bridge in Lacombe? Mardi Paws and St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services did a beautiful job in creating a place of peace and harmony to lay tribute to our cherished pets. Nash is honored there as are so many of our loved and missed pets.

Since I won't be back to work until next week I am down the rabbit hole on Facebook and now we are going to Alabama to enter Darcy in this hamburger eating contest.

She's going to destroy everyone in her path. I once watched her take down an entire plate of enchiladas amongst other things. 🤣

The Pirate’s Cove Dog Olympics return Saturday, October 3, and we can not wait!!

Registration begins at 10 AM, followed by a full day of competition:

11 AM: Water Sprint.
12 PM: Plato’s Best Trick Contest
1 PM: Dock Diving
2 PM: Seattle Fetch
3 PM: Hamburger Eating Contest

We’ll also have live music from W.B. Sims while we raise money and support a great cause with Future Homes Animal Rescue and Wags & Whiskers.

Start training, tell your dog loving friends, and mark October 3 on your calendar. We want to make this year’s Dog Olympics our biggest one!
