Long time no food post! I've been wanting to try Portside Seafood and Grill but was a tad confused as to that they don't have outdoor seating. So we messaged them and confirmed they were four legged friendly.

Now since this is an indoor restaurant I do want to say be considerate when bringing your pet in. While indoor dining is popular in Europe, not so much America. They are VERY courteous to those with service animals and I love that. So often those with service animals face issues while dining with their pet.

Darcy is NOT a service animals, she's just a dog. We tucked ourselves away in a corner table and enjoyed some absolutely delicious crawfish and shrimp. Caidence (I hope I spelled that right!) was super sweet and we will definitely be back, maybe without a dog as tho I love my Spots, they shed a bit and more when excited.

I am very proud to support a restaurant that puts service animals first! If you want some great seafood and service, make sure to checkout Portside in Hammond!

I love when an outfit comes together. We had to have the boonie hat from Sassy Woof and then you can't have a hat without matching shoes. We are always thankful for The Majestic Dog Boutique for carrying and special ordering Darcy's wagwear shoes. Now we're ready for that crawfish boil and a hot Louisiana summer!

NEW LOCAL LAW IN EFFECT APRIL 1ST: St. Tammany Animal Control and Welfare ordinance 25-H4T5-0401 Animal Hats; Required states: All animals (with the exception of ferrets, hamsters and guinea fowl) must now wear very small hats. Hats can be no larger than a 1.5:1 ratio around the circumference of the animal’s cranium. Adjustment straps must be soft material. Hats MUST have ear holes so that the animals can hear, no exceptions. Hats should have identifying information written inside in the event the animal is found at large. Punitive fines for not wearing hats will be strictly enforced. Animal hat waivers are available to animals who have proof of veterinary diagnosed dermatitis.

It's and Rupert's Birthday!!! Rupert was my first Dalmatian, I was watching him as he got over a bad bladder infection as a little pup. I'll always remember when his breeder asked me those little words "Do you want to keep him?" and I thought she meant for a little while longer. She meant forever. He's gentle and sensitive and he tries to keep everyone in line, even if it's just by giving a lecture since he's vocal like his beloved Dad Cory. Happy 7th birthday, Rupert!!!

Darcy doesn't like the snow and I bout busted my butt on the road. We're going inside where it's warm. 😂

As 2024 comes to an end we are so excited to see that we just broke 4k followers!!! What started as a small thought during Covid has blossomed into a platform to support small businesses, local rescues, lost pets, local events and more! I am so thankful to everyone who has supported, shared, and liked Pet Friendly Northshore. This year we added more restaurants, while sadly saying goodbye to others. We made new friends, had our first meet up, and I even wrote an article for Visit The Northshore. We walked in Mardi Paws and found ourselves featured in various other magazines! We also had some hard goodbyes, losing Nash and my Mom were definitely not on my Bingo card. Bridger came to join us, very unexpectedly, and our hearts are full of love for this sassy little guy. 2025 I pray you bring fewer storms, more wonderful experiences, and many more opportunities for growth. Cheers to the future!! Also, we ate. A lot.

There's a bunch of pups out today at The Chimes Covington Also, I do not have the best dog. Darcy is heinous today. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I needed to go to St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services today for work and we decided to bring Darcy along and finally visit the beautiful and wonderful #RainbowBridge. December is a hard month for anyone who has experienced recent loss, and there still isn't a day that goes by that we don't miss our NashieBooBoo. I am so thankful to Mardi Paws for the beautiful tag in his memory. We also got to see Ned's tag, who was loved so dearly by my whole staff and Dr. Feringa. If you're ever in Lacombe I highly recommend stopping by to visit this beautiful testament to our beloved furry family members.

Our #DarcyCam is a go!! We tried out Savvy Sliders (Fat Boy's as well) in Covington and can't wait to work with them more in the future for meet-ups and maybe more! The chicken tenders were delicious and I love how you can get different seasonings for the fries. They have a large patio and loved Darcy even though she was in full Diva mode 😅.
