Happy Tuesday! I have been getting a lot of clients telling me and Facebook posts showing me about the increased sightings of bears and bobcats recently. Specifically on the bike path and near heavily wooded neighborhoods. Please take all precautions necessary with walking your dog safely like being very vigilant of your surroundings and walking before dark. I also always carry a mini air horn so I highly recommend having something that makes loud noises because black bears and bobcats are afraid of that. Thank you and safe walking everyone!

The weather is heating up already! Rusty wants to remind you to please be careful walking your pups in this weather. Make sure your walks are in the morning or at night and if that’s not feasible, please make sure you take your dog for a short walk in the shade! The bike path behind cup of joy is mostly shaded and a great spot to walk! It is usually very quiet and cool. Also pup cups help too! Rusty loves those and it’s a nice cool treat! PSA for all dog owners. TICKS ARE BAD this year! It is super important that all dog owners are up-to-date on Tick/ flea preventative. I walk dogs every day and are finding ticks constantly, even on the bike path! Please be careful of where you’re walking and always check your dogs and yourself for ticks after every walk. They are worse than ever this year and it is important that all dog owners stay vigilant and consistent about checking for ticks for your safety and theirs.
