Fall deworming is here! Now is the time to deworm your horses. The dewormer of choice for *ADULT* horses this time of year is:

❓️Do you know what the most recent deworming recommendations for horses are?

🪱Currently, 80% of horses need to be dewormed twice yearly, once in the spring and once in the fall. 20% of horses need to be dewormed more frequently, so we recommend dropping off a f***l sample twice a year to make sure your horse is on the right program!

🪱Rotational deworming is no longer recommended in horses over the age of 3 years, since it can lead to parasite resistance.

❓️Why fall deworming?

🪱As the days get shorter and weather gets colder, the most common equine parasite, the small strongyle, will hibernate by becoming encysted. This means that they burrow into the horse’s intestinal wall. Most dewormers will not be able to treat this encysted stage of parasite. The exception is Quest (moxidectin) or the Panacur PowerPak.

🪱Moxidectin is a safe dewormer, however its safety margin is narrower than some other dewormers, so it should be used at the appropriate dosage. Weight tapes are a great way to estimate your equine’s weight.

We are a laid back peaceful barn . Looking for someone laid back and easy going . Horses are happy here bright airy barn . We are small and not perfect or fancy but everyone is friendly and easy . 😊 We are small and have no drama we are a bunch of easy going people .

We have a covered sand arena, crossties, tack room , round pen, turnout , trail riding, small trail course and trailer parking. Barn owner lives on site and horses are checked on multiple times a day . We also are set up with security Camaras so we can check on horses regularly even if we're not home . We offer self care and partial care. Full care can be discussed.

We are also a perfect retirement barn .

Horses get their own turn out pasture or they can be turned out in a group field also . They are open all yr unless the weather super nasty.

Self care - $250
You provide your own feed and clean your own stall. Barn owner will feed your set out AM and PM feed,check and fill water, & turn out. You bring in your own horse and clean your own stall set up feed.

Partial care - $300
You provide your feed.
Barn owner will feed your feed am and pm (you don't have to set it up just tell us what and how much to feed for you) we clean your stall, turn out, bring in, fly mask , if u provide fly spray we can spray it and we will do blankets (on and off) fill and clean water buckets . Basically full care but your feed. With this you do not have to come out everyday if you don't want to. 😊

Full care- $500 our alfalfa and grass hay will be fed along with all the other partial care amenities. You provide your grain and supplements.

We are located up London Rd 13 miles. Cottage Grove , OR. We do live a ways out unfortunately but that's why we offer a little extra perks then some of the other barns .
