She’s so well trained she basically does the shopping for us 😂

We asked her to get and hold the chips, and she did it perfectly.

Steady hold, zero chewing, complete focus in the middle of a busy Walmart.

This is the level of precision, impulse control, and real-world reliability our Malinois service dog brings every day… and exactly the standard we train toward in the Dopamine K9 program.

Proud of her every single day.

📸 Meet Apollo and Artemis, adorable 10-month-old French Bulldog littermates who came to us dealing with some classic littermate syndrome challenges.

When they arrived, we focused first on building a rock-solid training foundation: clear communication, impulse control, place work, and individual confidence-building sessions. Like many littermates, they were struggling with over dependence, frustration, jealousy, competition, resource guarding, and conflicts. We’ve been intentional about separating their training time while still giving them safe, structured opportunities to be around each other.

Now we’re leveling up into real-world distractions, practicing commands around other dogs, people, farm animals, and everyday environments. The progress has been fantastic! These two are learning to focus on their handlers, regulate their emotions, become more independent, and coexist peacefully again. 🫶

🐾 Day 1: Eyes Open - Launching Early Socialization for Future Service Dog Prospects 🐾

Today is a major milestone with our litter: all puppies have their eyes open! At this stage, they shift from depending primarily on scent and touch to beginning visual exploration. This opens the prime socialization window (roughly 3-16 weeks), when their brains are most adaptable. As professional dog trainers preparing these pups as service dog candidates, we start confidence-building from day one.

Why this matters for service work:

Early, positive exposures help develop resilient, focused, and adaptable dogs. The puppies selected for service roles - and every pup in the litter - receive the exact same high-standard foundation. Our goal is confident temperaments that can handle novel environments, distractions, and public work with ease.

First new surface today: a cardboard box filled with crinkly packing paper.

This gentle introduction offers:

• Novel textures under their paws

• Subtle sounds and vibrations (as hearing begins to develop)

• A safe, low-pressure “adventure” that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and resilience

Sessions are kept short, fully supervised, & positive.

Proud to give every pup in this litter the best possible start toward bright futures - whether as working service dogs or well-balanced companions. ❤️
