welps, we just discovered one of our recently hatched chicks 🐣 has a crossbeak like the one in the image 😢

we’re following groups/pages for special needs poultry, and we already have a dremel for trimming and will always provide crumble/mash feed for her (better not be a roo🐓!).

any other tips? they are welcomed but please don’t recommend culling her. she’s been eating and drinking fine these past few weeks but notice she’s smaller than her sister that hatched around same time as her. 🧡

💔😭 grieving is not easy… we lost Cocoa Puff a couple days ago. she’d been with us for 5+ years and was a companion to both sets of our sister goats. and she outlived them all!

we lost 2 great Cocoas recently (Cocoa Puff🖤🤍💙 & Cocoa Tea❤️💛💚). We miss & love you both. Rest easy you two.

Lyra will need x-rays, sutures, and a drain tube. they’ll need to sedate her or give her anesthesia. thank goodness for pet insurance!!

yesterday, “Delilah Jones went to meet her God.” 🥺💔🌈 this was an unexpected loss, but we’re also so grateful to have enjoyed her final retirement years at the with such a sassy, determined, and beautiful nigerian dwarf since 2020. Delilah (aka DJ aka MommaD2💘) will be missed (esp by our lone goat, Cocoa Puff), but we’re confident she’s reuniting with her sister, Aurora, and buddy, Victoria, (and Bravery! 💛🐔!) at Rainbow’s Bridge. rest easy, Delilah 🖤🐮 - we love you.
