Ever wonder what it’s actually like to work on a farm? 🌱
At one of our recent volunteer days, we got to work building a hugelkultur mound — layering logs, woody material, compost, and other organic matter to create a growing bed that builds soil, holds moisture, and becomes more productive as it breaks down over time. 🪵🌿
And that’s just one of the projects our volunteers get to be part of!
This fall, we’ll be harvesting walnuts, prepping and seeding new grazing areas for our chickens, planting fall and winter crops, working in the food forest berry patch, harvesting produce from the market garden, and tackling plenty of other seasonal farm projects along the way. 🐓🥬🌰

🌷 Our next volunteer day: Sept 12, 10-12pm
🌱 Drop-in volunteer hours: Every Tuesday & Thursday, 2–4 PM
🥕 Tuesday bonus: Help harvest for our farm shares and take home a bag of produce!
