We have 17 days, give or take on either side. Milk ducts are in, getting fuller. She might start nesting soon, my door will be closed. Not nesting on my bed!

Pups are now 75% of thier whelp weight. They move around now, she is my constant shadow. I will be home more now so she does not stress when I'm gone. I still need to leave on occasion.

Results of Moon's Nomograph. Why do this? Research has shown vaccinating pups at a traditional 6 weeks conflicts with the passive immunity pups get from mom. Conflict can actually make the more suspectible to these viruses.

There isn't a need to do 6 week vax.

This shows about when that passive immunity runs out. I did 2 with Moon, not 3 as suggested. You can see she is fully protected. More isn't always better.

I will do the 8 week vax and checkup prior to going home, the rest is up to you.

I highly suggest titers! There is no need to vax every year. You can see she is still protected from her puppy vax.

Over vax has shown to cause Autoimmune, cancer, other medical issues.

All will get a copy of this for your own veterinarian.

FYI....this is Parvo and Distemper. I do not do Lepto.

With weather approaching, it's time to winterize and think ahead. This will be a great place for pups to experience weather and wind.

They can experience snow and cold as well. While pups cannot regulate thier body temperature, some exposure is great for them!

They will come out here in the dark as well. That will help build a foundation for you during night potty trips.

It's early, I don't like last minute rush. This lamp is rated Barn and House safe. Have used it with every litter, baby goats and chicks. I can adjust up or down if needed, pups can decide to get under or not. Plenty of space for mom to.

Putting up early gets mom use to this. She happily jumps in the "box" on cue.

The next 2 weeks are rapid growth inutero. They look like puppies with lungs and body system developing for whelping. They would not make it if born now.

Moon is needing out more often to p*e now. I'm gone a lot less.

Yesterday she snapped at Breeze, very common as changes are happening in her. Breeze looked very confused and walked away. Good girl Breeze!

As whelping approaches, the area will be fenced off to keep the girls separate. That helps Moon to relax and not feel the need to warn Breeze away.

I'm very experienced at this. Going through everything now and puppy stuffies ordered.

Update: Remember Boone, Breeze x Storm?He is doing well and LOVEs his human. I see a lot of Storm in him as he mature...

Stress free is my goal for Moon. Yesterday was a little stressful. At the clinic she tried to jump on my lap. I didn't correct or get after her, it was her way of saying she wasn't comfortable here.

What did I do? I brought her close, with her back between my legs. From there I used T touch to help her nervous system settle, which it did.

Emotions were driving her, that's something we need to recognize in our dogs. Behavior has a purpose, we as humans need to change with compassion and understanding.

So today it's raining, I was going to the gym, chose to stay with her today.

It's official!

My last day of work is November 2nd. Then I start extreme preparing and staying home. Last thing I need is to get sick. You will follow along as I prepare, setting up charts and supplies.

I'm a birthing stalker! I will not leave the house.

For new ones joining us, I'm a Behavioral trainer, more Functional. I believe in finding root cause rather than treating a behavior with textbook approach. Understanding emotions affect behavior is key. There is no magic.

I start foundational work with the pups, you will follow along this journey!
