Still on heat watch, it's all up to her. Waiting another week would be better timing.

Pups will get a foundation for recall before going to thier homes.

Pattern games help with intense sniffers. Sniffing is natural, after about 10 seconds I might use a pattern game. She hears it, knows 4 is coming and we will move on.

Still on heat watch with Moon, a little worried her boyfriend might not be around. Fingers crossed

Breeze is back to her normal self! I clean up the blood from the fangs some, she is still sensitive to being touched there.

She will go out on her own to the yard. It's been so hot, I don't let them linger outside to long.

Thanksfully she healed from this scare.

Mark worked on removing some shrubs and eradicating prairie dogs, a food source for Rattlesnakes.

I worked on w**ds and dried w**d areas. Still aways to go, I will get it done.

This was the bush I suspect the snake was in.

Breeze woke up to being alert, still some swelling.

She won't go out to the yard without me nearby, not even for Mark. Mark got up in the night, she said no. Worked on getting my attention to take her out.

I did find the bush where it had been. It's gone now. I will be on alert till I'm convinced it's gone.

You can see she looks better, the swelling is still under her jaw and neck, some around her eyes.

It amazes me dogs can take a bite and recover. Humans not so much.

Today was unexpected. When we bought this homestead 10 years ago, I asked the former owners if Rattlesnakes were ever seen. They said no, during the 10 years never ever seen one.

Breeze looked like she had the mumps with two marks.

I rushed her to vet who got her in, thankfully. I'm 30 minutes and had my flashers going to denote emergency. Semi trucks were in force today with none letting me by, even on passing lanes.

The vet said her RBC looked normal, I had got her in quickly. Because of that she wasn't 100% sure, Breeze had the other signs.

I suspect with the drought and fire, we are near the Ferris fire, snakes to are fleeing. Our deer population has gone quite high, so why not snakes.

Snakes do not bother me, Rattlesnakes will be dealt with, if I can find it.

Watch your dogs, it's been a crazy summer!

The picture of her is after the vet, the swelling was going down.

I featured this boy, a Aussie Border Collie mix, adolescent. He was denied training in Durango, saying is he is to wild, no focus.

He is obsessed with sticks, bolts out the door, no focus outside.

I worked with the bolting, going down steps and watching the yard from the top of the walkway rather than charging down.

This is a impluse game with his obsessed stick play. How do you think he and his human did?

He was very focused outside after allowing him to settle on the walkway.

The long line is for safety as he wants to bolt to the fence. He did great!

The goal is to toss the stick and then cue him to GO! This is fulfilling his need to play with sticks using controlled played.

This works both mental and physical. A fun game he can play with his human.
