🐾 Six Months Is Long Enough for Tater 🐾

UPDATE - his adoption is sponsored so he is free! 💜

When Tater first arrived at the shelter back in Dec, he was almost unrecognizable. He was skinny, missing much of his hair, and clearly hadn’t experienced the love and care every dog deserves.

Fast forward six months, and the transformation has been incredible.

Thanks to the care of his foster family, Tater has gained weight, his coat has grown back, and his sweet personality has had the chance to shine. He has blossomed into an amazing companion and is finally healthy, happy, and ready for a forever home of his own.

🐾 Weekly Shelter Update: What a Week! 🐾

It has been a BIG week at Conway Animal Services.

This week, 24 animals came into the shelter — and 17 of them arrived right at the beginning of the week. That kind of intake can fill kennels fast, but thanks to our adopters, owners, fosters, and supporters, we were able to keep helping.

This week:

🏡 15 animals left the shelter through adoption or return to owner
💙 15 animals went into foster homes
🐶🐱 That made a HUGE impact on our ability to continue helping animals in need

Every adoption, every foster, every share, and every kind word helps create space and gives these animals a better chance.

And we have even more good news…

🐾 Big Toys Save Big Problems! 🐾

Our shelter dogs need your help stocking up on oversized enrichment toys!

Enrichment toys are a huge part of keeping our dogs happy, healthy, and mentally stimulated while they wait for their forever homes. They help reduce stress, ease kennel frustration, and give our dogs something positive to focus on during the day.

Right now, we are especially needing larger toys that are too big to accidentally wash into our kennel drains during cleaning. These toys help keep our dogs entertained while also helping us avoid clogged drains and kennel maintenance issues.

Most needed items include:
🐶 Large KONG toys
🐶 Jolly Balls
🐶 Heavy-duty rope toys
🐶 XL chew toys

🌟🐾 PET OF THE WEEK: Cheez-It 🐾🌟

This cute little cheddar cheese-inspired snack of a kitten has quite the rescue story! Cheez-It was spotted by a local business community member just as he was preparing for a leap into a storm drain. Thankfully, this kind-hearted hero scooped him up and brought him to safety before his adventure took a turn.

Cheez-It is now living the good life in a temporary foster home while he waits for a permanent family of his own, alongside many of Conway’s finest kittens. This little guy is safe, loved, and ready for his next big adventure — finding a forever home! 🧡
