When Junie B., a beautiful Golden Retriever mix, decided a laundry sock looked like a tasty snack, her family knew they needed expert help fast. They brought her straight to Veterinary Emergency Hospital of Concord, where our dedicated emergency team immediately went to work.

Junie B. was presenting with a Small Intestinal Foreign Body (SIFB). While these cases often require emergency surgery, our team closely monitored and stabilized her, and we are thrilled to share that the blockage resolved safely without surgery! However, the classic "sock indiscretion" left her with a severe case of gastroenteritis, which is a painful inflammation of the stomach and intestines.

To get her back on her paws, our team provided:
