We still have more long term dogs (over 100 days).

Check out Sarah. She was adopted as a puppy and got brought back when she got big. She is a sweet and playful dog.

She would be best as an only pet which we know makes it difficult for our dogs.

But we know the perfect home is out there! Come meet Sarah and see if she is a fit for you.

👋🏼🩵 Introducing our new Volunteer Coordinator, Kamdyn!! Kamdyn can often be found wrangling volunteers for fix the future clinics and working at the front desk. Be sure to say hi next time you’re in!

She shares: “I’m a self-proclaimed nerd who’s always excited to learn something new—whether it’s diving into a great book, falling down a historical rabbit hole, or exploring Renaissance Faires across the country (corsets and turkey legs included!). Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m lucky enough to be greeted every day by my beloved grey cat, who never misses a chance to say hello when I get home.

“I began my journey at the Humane Society as part of the feline team, helping with cleaning and care. Thanks to the incredible support and encouragement from our amazing management and staff, I’ve since been able to grow into a role where I not only continue working with the cats I love, but also get to support and engage with our amazing volunteers. I’m especially excited to be part of helping our volunteer base grow and flourish!

“On a personal note, my husband and I are getting ready to celebrate our first wedding anniversary this October, and we couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds.” Welcome, Kamdyn! 🐱

Happy Tail Tuesday!
"my boyfriend and i were just laying around one night and decided to look at the cats up for adoption. with absolutely zero intention on adopting a cat because he's allergic. then came along frosty. we both fell in love with her immediately and knew that we needed to see her. so we scheduled a time to go in and play with her. 10 minutes into the playdate we knew we wanted her then and there. no hesitation. it felt like fate when i called at the end of the foster when they told me she had feline leukemia and needed special care. my childhood cat had feline leukemia and we even adopted him from BCHS. so i knew exactly how to care for her. she's now a perfect cat and is loved immensely by her brother nimbus".
