Meet Barcode! This cutie came to us as a stray, so while we may not know his whole backstory we DO know he’s ready for a home! Here’s what his foster has to say about him,
“If there was a perfect cat, it would be Barcode.
He always wants to be around you and cuddle with you. He will follow you wherever you go and flop down watching you while you work (which also makes him a tripping hazard). He is also okay if you need your space and will not be fussy if you are working but he will definitely thrive with someone who is loving on him throughout the day.
He loooves pets and scritches (even belly rubs). Loves his wet food. He is super chill and even plants friendly”

This sweet lady is looking for her furever family! Ridge has found herself at BCHS as a stray from the streets, and after 3 months here- she’s ready for a change.🐾
She enjoys the little things in life like lounging, playing with ball toys, getting the zoomies, and cuddling up with her humans. Ridge is an affectionate kitty, expect some good purrs and the best lap cat you could ask for!🐱

🐾This event couldn’t have been possible without the support and love of our community. From every vendor, to volunteer, to patron- THANK YOU! Because of you, we were able to put on this wonderful event!🐶

🐕Thanks to your generous votes for our County Ambassadors, we raised: $1,617.59! Which further leads us to our 2026 Canine County Ambassador...Apollo! Apollo’s mom is our very own Canine Manager, MJ! We are so happy for them and congratulate them for all their hard work!🩵

🩵Happy Tails Tuesday to a very special girl!🩵
“Maya, aka “Sweetie Girl,” has been the perfect addition to our family since bringing her home at the New Year. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog who loves our family. She is beyond patient and gentle with each of our kids, and we can’t understand why she was at the Humane Society for over a year, other than to wait for our us. We love her so much, and she truly completes our family.”
Maya was a sweet girl that came to us with puppies of her own, and spent over a year with us at the shelter. We are so grateful for her furever family giving her a chance and getting to see JUST how perfect she is!

🐕‍🦺We are looking for volunteers to help us walk dogs!

🐕‍🦺We walk Tuesday-Friday between 3:45-5:00 and Saturday and Sunday at 11:00.

It is a great way to get in some exercise, enjoy being outside and of course all the puppy love you could want! 💕

Most of the time this is the only time the dogs get outside. They NEED this daily socialization and chance to stretch their legs.
