Our TNVR (Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return) program is designed to save lives and support the well-being of community cats. Not all cats thrive in shelters or indoor homes, and TNVR helps ensure that healthy, unowned cats can continue living safely in the environment they know.
We understand there has been some confusion, so we want to clarify how the program works. Because every area is different, we cannot give exact dates or times for when trapping will occur in a specific neighborhood. The length of time needed to TNVR cats varies, and we prioritize locations based on the highest need and the volume of calls we receive.
โ๏ธ Healthy, thriving, unowned cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped, and returned to their community.
โ๏ธ Kittens, struggling cats, or very friendly cats are fully vetted and then go to adoption or rescue.
โ๏ธ Cats with signs of ownership (microchip, collar, declawed, fixed without ear tip) are not returned. Owners may reclaim, though city fines may apply for roaming.
If an owned cat isnโt reclaimed after the required stray hold (minimum 3 days), it is fully vetted and then becomes available for adoption or rescue placement.
