Greater Columbia Obedience Club

The Greater Columbia Obedience Club, Inc. (GCOC) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1968. We hold several trials and matches each year.

(GCOC) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1968 to promote the sport of dog obedience. GCOC is an all-volunteer organization made up of local dog sport enthusiasts. The club is sanctioned by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to hold obedience, rally, and agility trials in the area. Part of our mission includes public education about training and competition dog sports. We subscribe to the the

ory that a trained dog is a happy dog. The club encourages and promotes positive reinforcement and reward-based training methods.

💡Did you know that GCOC hosts educational seminars, open to the public?

We take advantage of our connections in the dog training industry and canine care community to bring new seminar opportunities to members and friends. ⭐ Members receive priority registration and pricing, but we welcome anyone who'd like to learn!

Congratulations to our summer "Puppy K-2" graduates! 🐾🏆

GCOC's Puppy K-2 class was developed to offer a stepping stone for young puppies to continue their training before entering our Basic Skills class for dogs 6 months or older. Keep an eye out for this class in future sessions!

GCOC members recently enjoyed a fun evening of trivia - "Risk it for the Biscuit!"

Our members are always up for a fun time and friendly competition. Despite our annual "month off" from membership meetings in July, we met for this special event with shared snacks, a little learning, and a lot of laughs!

August training classes at GCOC are now open for enrollment and we have openings! 📋 Visit us online to register.
