Are you making these 2 mistakes with your dog? 🐶
1️⃣ Repeating the command: “Sit, sit, sit” teaches your dog they don’t have to listen the first time. Say it once: “Fluffy, sit.”
2️⃣ Being inconsistent: If your dog decides when the command is over, they’ll keep testing you. Stay consistent and use a clear release word.
Small changes, big results. 💪

The way you move, react, and handle different situations can affect how your dog behaves, too. Staying calm, confident, and consistent can make a big difference, especially around distractions.

Training at home is one thing, but can your dog still listen when other dogs and people are around?

That's why we love group classes! They're a great way to work on focus, confidence, and good manners around distractions. Plus, it's always fun seeing our dogs and their owners make progress together! 💙

Your dog needs more than just commands! 🐾

A little structure, a consistent routine, and daily exercise can make a big difference in your dog's behavior. When they know what's expected of them and have a healthy way to burn off energy, life gets easier for both of you!

Your dog knows how to sit, stay, and listen at home… but the second you go outside, it's like they've never heard those words before. 🐾

There's a lot going on outside, and sometimes everything else is just more interesting!

That's why practicing around distractions is so important. Start small and work your way up!

Need help getting your dog to listen outside the house? Give us a call at 803-903-3647 for a FREE assessment!

If your dog could talk, these might be a few things they'd want you to know! 🐶

Training isn't just about getting your dog to listen. It's about helping them understand what you're asking, no matter where you are.
