Happiest 1st birthday to my Spitfire❤️🔥 My True-blue Burning Heart, you live up to that name each and every day. You are the brightest star I have ever known and I am grateful to live in a world that revolves around your light💫
When I went to meet Spitfire’s litter, I had no idea which puppy I would bring home. Though, I did know I wanted the highest drive puppy. All of the puppies were friendly, confident, sweet, and eager to play with me. However there was one particular puppy that seemed to be in overdrive. As all the other puppies would get distracted and wander away, the yellow puppy would not leave me alone. Biting the absolute f**k out of me, digging in my treat bag, and begging to play. When I worked with all the puppies 1-on-1, they were all wonderful and had great drive, yet the yellow puppy was a total psycho wrecking ball. As all the other puppies fell asleep, yellow puppy was still at my feet being a terror. Something about that moment told me exactly what I already knew, yellow puppy was mine and become who we now know as Spitfire💛
I can’t believe my little yellow puppy is already 1 year old. We have already accomplished so much together and Spitfire is growing into the most incredible dog. No words could ever fully express how proud I am of her or how much she means to me. I feel so deeply connected to Spitfire and that feeling grows stronger every day. It’s as if we share the same soul.
Spitfire and I have been celebrating the day by visiting our friends at the vet and getting weighed, going on a hike/run through the woods, going crazy at a water spigot, and topping it off with ice cream when we got home from our adventure. Happy birthday my baby Spitfire! I look forward to our next year ahead that will be filled with so much more learning, love, adventure, and memories❤️🔥
