Hello all,
We wanted to extend a deep and heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our final September show. We appreciate each and every one who has supported us during our first season and look forward to seeing you all at our awards banquet in November, with details to follow!
We do feel the need to address a few concerns that were brought up on Saturday.
BCCHA was founded on the idea of starting a family & beginner friendly association where pros and novices alike could come together and show in a drama-free, low-key learning environment. We want to encourage and develop the sport of cutting to ensure its continuation with future generations.
That being said, we feel the need to address a few items that will not be tolerated at BCCHA shows:
- Poor showmanship in the arena, to include the use of foul language and disrespectful behavior in the working arena. Cutting is a tough sport, and anyone can have a bad run. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and feelings about their score, and BCCHA works hard to maintain a respectful learning culture where everyone is encouraged to talk to the judge about their score and the qualities of their run.
- Being respectful of others property. At no point in time is it appropriate to enter or touch another's private property without their permission, including trucks, trailers, horses, tack, etc.
- Open consumption of alcohol in the arena is not permitted. This can jeopardize our facilities licenses to operate and impact our ability to have events at these facilities in the future.
BCCHA promotes an open environment where everyone should feel safe coming to our board members about concerns and issues they may have. We are more than happy to hear constructive criticism and suggestions to make our events better for everyone, however we will not tolerate blatant negative behavior that affects the rest of the participants in our events.
We have heard your suggestions for next year and we are discussing them for next season. Again, we deeply appreciate your support for our vision for the future of Colorado cutting
and want to extend an apology to our participants for some of the behavior from other riders yesterday. We want to keep BCCHA fun and family friendly for all & look forward to seeing y'all next season! 🤠
Please keep a look out for our post regarding our November awards banquet!!
