We are having our races! I’ve been in both contact with local and state vets and we have been given the green light under some biosecurity practices!
First the races:
Everyone seemed to want to continue the series and I think there’s a way to do that without stretching it into 2026 which should accommodate the majority of who was voting. We are going to hold three races in two days.
Saturday:
This going to be a doubleheader. The second race will start 30 minutes after first. You are allowed to roll your time from the first race to the second race. We are doing a Vegas theme just to add a little fun. There will be self serve concession stand there as well. Office fee is required per race.
Sunday:
This race is just a single, but it does have the added Christmas tree barrel race that will happen 30 minutes after the initial barrel rate. That means we will have a normal barrel race with normal barrel and then if you choose to enter the Christmas tree bar that will happen in 30 minutes after The normal. The Christmas tree barrel race is a money maker to help do some added money for the very last race of this season.
Bio security:
Here is how we will run things. They will not be holding pen inside. We will be utilizing the alleyway that comes from the outside to the inside. No horses will be permitted to go inside installed areas of Circle 3. If you would like to watch the barrel racing, you must put your horse at your trailer and come and watch one. I understand that might be inconvenient, but we would like to minimize Horse congestion anywhere. We asked that you use social distancing with your Horses. This includes in the warm-up arena as well as when standing waiting for your turn. We will have a set up to wear. The next 10 will be near the gate and everyone is asked who is not in that pen to stand back and be by themselves. I know this probably sounds like a lot, but when we get into the thick of things, it will be more clear. We ask before hauling that you take your horses temperature, obviously there’s no way for us to truly know if you are truthful in what temperature your horse has but remember that if you do your part, we can get back to normal.
The pattern:
Nothing is changing about the pattern or where the eyes set. If you need to walk in and make a circle to begin your pattern, there is enough space to do so.
